About the Role

Uber Eats is looking to grow the Merchants' Operations team in Japan. In this role, you will be responsible for unlocking the sustainable growth of our partners' businesses via our marketing products. You will drive growth of our ads (sponsored listings) and offers products through product launch, tooling, education and data insights. To achieve success, you will need to collaborate with local and regional operations teams and, most importantly, with our commercial teams, who represent the needs and wants of our Merchant Partners.

Your Impact in Role:

  • Building the strategy and the vision for our marketing products based on customer pain points and identified opportunity areas through data analysis and collaboration with local commercial and leadership teams
  • Help launch new product updates and capabilities, Communicate the value of our latest products across different stakeholders
  • Develop and own initiatives roadmap to increase adoption and retention of Uber Eats marketing instruments across UberEats Partners
  • Work in a fast-paced environment while ensuring projects continue progressing to completion despite ambiguous conditions and tight deadlines
  • Drive analysis of data at scale and aggregate insights to drive key business decisions. Define critical metrics and supervise business performance; report findings to local leadership to define long-term strategy and decision-making
  • Build and develop strong relationships with cross-functional teams to contribute to the long-term growth of Uber Eats marketing instruments

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor or advanced degree in Business, Economics, Business Analytics, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 4-8 years of relevant experience within a Strategy or Operations position (e.g. Operations, Consulting, Investment Banking, Corporate Strategy, Sales Operations, Product Management), having managed diverse stakeholders and demonstrated an ability to adapt to a fast-moving working environment.
  • Robust data analytics capability , ability to gather insights from large data sets

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in quantitative analysis, data interpretation, and structured deliverable communication, with SQL knowledge as a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on tackling complex issues.
  • Exceptional business judgement and critical thinking, leveraging data to prioritise and strategise effectively
  • Open, curious, and eager to learn - you are interested in all things and can build up skills and knowledge fast to become a recognised subject matter expert amongst your peers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Fluency in Japanese is a huge plus
