About the Role
Uber is transforming the future of grocery & retail, building the world's best and biggest marketplace for on-demand delivery of all local commerce. As part of the Global Merchant Operations team for Grocery & Retail (GR), you will help to ensure an exceptional experience for the merchants on the Uber platform. You will support our merchants as they partner with Uber to grow their business and provide a world-class delivery experience to customers.
In this role, you will work closely with local operations and commercial teams around the globe, as well as GR leadership and product development teams. Specifically, you will lead projects that will have the ultimate goal of ensuring we are an outstanding platform for our merchants, and we deliver exceptional solutions to our partners, continuously improving Uber's processes, programs, and products to do so.

What you'll do
- Drive an exceptional merchant experience: promote the continual improvement of Uber's data solutions and ensure these solutions are continually enhancing merchants' experience partnering with Uber Eats
- Complex analysis: Perform in-depth analyses of data and conduct deep dives to find root causes of any issues that arise, triangulating across multiple products, stakeholders, partners, and data sources, with the ultimate goal of ensuring our platform and deliveries meet desired excellence standards
- Strategy & communication: Oversee analyses and synthesize findings into clear recommendations for leadership and cross-functional teams for improvements to Uber's merchant reporting & data solutions
- Project management: Oversee the implementation of long term projects and products related to enhancing merchant experience in the Uber platform
- Stakeholder management: Coordinate leadership, product, legal, operations, commercial teams and influence decision making with data-based recommendations, ensure alignment is reached and progress is being made
- Cross functional collaboration: Establish strong relationships across the organization and work closely with many business areas (Local Operations, Business Development, Product, etc.) to ensure new product launches and strategic initiatives are incorporated by reporting solutions
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in business, economics, engineering, or a related field
- 4+ years of experience in strategy, operations, finance, consulting, or a related field
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong stakeholder management experience and skills
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), to effectively engage and drive consensus across technical and non-technical audiences
- Intermediate/Advanced SQL, Excel/google sheets, and data analysis skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in business, economics, engineering, or a related field
- Experience in merchant operations
- Experience developing and maintaining business reporting & invoicing solutions
- Experience in the grocery and/or retail industry
- Python skills and experience automating workflows
For Chicago, IL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$112,000 per year - USD$124,000 per year.
For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$124,000 per year - USD$137,500 per year.
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$124,000 per year - USD$137,500 per year.
