About the Role

The Vehicles team at Uber connects Drivers and Couriers to vehicles, opening up new opportunities in the space of electric and technologically-advanced vehicles and maximizing earnings potential for millions of people. The role is on the Earner Marketplace team, to which Earners are directed in the onboarding flow when specifying "I need a vehicle." This team sits in the center of efforts to empower Earners without vehicles, acting as the core Earner-facing solution for partnerships such as Hertz+Tesla and upcoming OEM partnerships.

The Sr. Frontend Engineer will work with a team across Engineering, Product, Design, and Data Science to expand our Vehicles Marketplace to new global markets and vehicle suppliers, and will support new and existing partnerships with small and enterprise rental companies and fleets.

What the Candidate Will Do ----

Build products that will directly impact company-level OKRs

Develop a platform to provide drivers all the information they need to make the leap to electric

Integrate their work into the consumer-facing Driver and Rider apps

---- Basic Qualifications ----

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience

Experience with modern FE stack (JavaScript/HTML/CSS)

5+ years of professional experience building single page applications, or other web consumer facing features

---- Preferred Qualifications ----

At least five (5) years of software engineering experience

Experience with React.js/Vue/Angular.js or other web application libraries

Experience working with JS in a server environment (Node/Express)

Experience building GraphQL/RESTful APIs

For Seattle, WA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$185,000 per year - USD$205,500 per year.
