About the Role

As we build Uber's Delivery Commercial Operations team, we are looking for a Senior Data Governance/Quality Analyst to break down complex problems cross-functionally and drive incremental & strategic value to business teams. The focus of the role will be on expanding a Data Governance program to establish a more unified data strategy as we execute digital transformations to improve systems scalability & sustainability.

In the role, you will focus on the global business priorities across Uber Delivery's Salesforce Data Governance program. Your objective will be to standardize best data capabilities globally w/ automation & business intelligence. Your day-to-day will be to work with a program manager and help to solve complex business data challenges from strategy to implementation.

The Delivery Commercial Operations team's mission is simply "Commercial Excellence," focused on scalable and sustainable systems & data infrastructure to drive insights & establish governance with our Salesforce instance for Uber Delivery.

What You'll Do

As the Senior Data Governance/Quality Analyst you will demonstrate the ability to self-manage complex governance projects, build the data governance business case for the stakeholders, implementation roadmap, and success metrics. You will support the Data Governance Manager.

  • scope & prioritize data requirements, design intelligent dashboard & systems alerts, connect cross-functionally with business & tech teams
  • gather data improvement initiatives across sales systems teams, regional operations teams, cross-functional product teams, and the IT engineering team
  • build pre-work data standard templates to be used across various sales systems projects to gather data requirements
  • ensure and monitor business value creation for the data governance program
  • apply data governance frameworks and best practices and processes to the data assets
  • implement the Data Governance operating model that includes designing Data Governance organization, roles and responsibilities, and success metrics

Basic Qualifications

  • A minimum of four years of experience working in consulting, sales operations, or program management
  • At least two years of work experience in strategy through execution of data governance or data quality projects
  • Familiarity with Salesforce concepts such as CPQ/CLM, Account Hierarchies, etc.
  • Familiarity with Information lifecycle concepts such as presales, acquisition, and expansion within commercial operations
  • Experience with process documentation and building standard operating procedures
  • Ability to communicate efficiently with different stakeholders with clarity
  • Understanding of complex data hierarchies and relationships e.g. account and opportunity hierarchies, legal entity structures, etc.
  • Understanding of data management concepts such as data profiling, data deduplication, data enrichment, data archival, etc.
  • Bachelors Degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding and experience with one or more of the following or equivalent data governance and data quality technologies - Informatica, Collibra
  • Designing and developing Data Governance technology solutions that include data dictionary & business glossaries, data standards and policies; data lineage and catalogs
  • Creating detailed documentation related to Data Governance processes and policies
  • Having familiarity with compliance areas is a plus e.g. Contracts Management, Product and Asset Management, SOX regulations, and building compliance processes
  • Understanding of SFDC data architecture and data integration patterns, identifying and prioritizing critical data elements across SFDC objects, Data Quality Processes and KPIs, metadata management
  • Have familiarity with data profiling, data discovery, data quality dimensions
  • Understanding of enterprise data concepts such as Master Data Management and Enterprise Data Warehouse, experience with MDM standards
  • Understanding or knowledge of SQL, build DG metrics visualization using tools such as Tableau or Power BI
  • Train the stakeholder team on foundational processes and activities to bring data under governance

For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$133,000 per year - USD$148,000 per year.

For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$133,000 per year - USD$148,000 per year.

For Sunnyvale, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$133,000 per year - USD$148,000 per year.
