About the Role:

Uber Eats Australia and New Zealand have been extremely successful markets for our global business and we are looking for a Consumer Analytics Manager to help drive our next phase of growth. The successful candidate will be part of a team that defines the ANZ consumer growth strategy, including identifying long term growth opportunities, improving the way we allocate resources, and continuously evolving the in-app experience.

What You'll Do:

  • Bring a data-led decision-making mindset and use a high level of analytical rigour to tackle complex open-ended problems, leveraging the vast trove of Uber data.
  • Lead strategic deep dives into existing (and defining new) consumer priority segments to understand their current usage of Uber products and identify growth opportunities for Uber Eats in ANZ. You will then make recommendations to leadership on investments and execution.
  • Advocate for the ANZ consumer experience by identifying pain points and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance ease of use, reliability, and satisfaction to make using Uber Eats a delight.
  • Initial projects for this Individual Contributor role could include;
  • Identifying users within the same household, and providing insights into household penetration and share of wallet.
  • Explore methods to leverage both internal and external data to identify families and students within our customer base, gaining a deeper understanding of how these groups interact with the platform
  • Segment our consumers trips into 5-7 distinct use cases, analyzing engagement behaviours and proposing ways we drive use case adoption across to ultimately increase our overall platform engagement and orders per eater.

What We're Looking For:

  • Analytical Mindset and Execution Power: A strong problem solver with exceptional analytical and data-driven decision-making skills. You thrive in tackling multiple emerging issues simultaneously, dealing with ambiguity, and excel at finding innovative, effective solutions.
  • Meticulous Attention to Detail: You will have a large amount of data available, so you will need to understand the nuances of each metric in order to seamlessly bring it into the broader analysis. It is second nature to you to double check and document, and you go to extensive lengths to make sure things do not fall through the cracks.
  • Exceptional Strategic Thinking Skills: A proven track record of developing and executing forward-looking strategies in dynamic, high-growth environments. You will be taking strategic workstreams from ideation to execution and will require consideration of a wide range of factors including macro-economic and competitive environments, investment appetite, and operational capabilities.
  • Adaptability and Innovation: A proactive mindset that thrives in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to swiftly adapt to changing priorities and market conditions. You continuously seek out opportunities to innovate and improve our consumer experience and value proposition.

What You'll Need:

  • 5+ years of demonstrated high-performing work experience in analytics, especially in customer strategy
  • Consistent track record of using data-driven insights to solve complex, open ended problems, which you will have built by leading projects including designing and optimisation of processes in a fast-paced ever-changing environment (e.g. management consulting, operations, or other hyper growth business)
  • Strong analytical capabilities and data acumen. You are a natural at sourcing qualitative and quantitative data to help define problems and solutions clearly, with experience dealing with complex data sets using excel (or Google sheets) and SQL (and/or Python/ R/SAS) to derive insights

    Preferred: data modelling/data science experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication. You can craft a compelling business case, and pitch it to senior business leaders, confidently telling a data backed story that helps secure buy in.
