Uber Eats' Grocery & Retail (GR) team is one of the fastest-growing business areas within Uber, driving further expansion and business growth in the Japanese market.
With a mission to enhance the integration of online and offline retail, the team focuses on accelerating growth in existing categories such as Grocery, Convenience Stores, Pharma, and Alcohol while expanding into new retail categories.
As an Account Executive in the GR team, you will play a pivotal role in maximizing business opportunities for our partners by providing comprehensive proposals that leverage Uber Eats' retail strategy. This is not just a sales role; you will utilize multiple models, including Uber Eats Marketplace, Uber Direct, and Ads, to deepen collaboration with retail partners and drive sustainable and profitable growth.

- Deeply understand partner business challenges and develop growth strategies by leveraging multiple Uber solutions, including Uber Eats Marketplace, Uber Direct, and Ads.
- Leverage Uber Eats' diverse services and products to deliver integrated, strategic proposals that support partner growth.
- Establish and maintain long-term trusted relationships with enterprise decision-makers, working collaboratively to achieve mutual success.
- Lead negotiations and contract discussions to secure agreements that drive mutual business growth.
- Manage territory planning, forecasting, and pipeline management using Salesforce to optimize sales processes.
- Collaborate with sales operations teams to analyze data and identify opportunities to improve sales strategies, processes, and execution.
- Represent the voice of partners and work with operations and product teams to propose new solutions that drive the growth of the local e-commerce market.
- Execute with urgency while maintaining a long-term vision for sustainable growth.
---- Basic Qualifications ----
- Proven ability to drive merchant growth by developing and executing integrated proposals combining multiple company services or products
- Experience in solution-based selling, including identifying business challenges and implementing effective growth strategies
- Demonstrated success in cross-functional collaboration to maximize partner outcomes
- 10+ years of B2B sales experience, with a focus on enterprise-level sales (experience negotiating with executive stakeholders is a strong plus)
- Japanese: Native level
- English: Business proficiency preferred

- Strong data-driven sales execution, with a track record of improving profitability and maximizing customer lifetime value (LTV)
- Strategic partnership development experience within the retail industry
- Experience in online marketplaces or startups is a plus
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments and proactively drive initiatives
- Excellent communication and stakeholder relationship management skills
- Strong commercial acumen and entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to quickly identify and scale new business opportunities
