About the Role
The Security Specialist for the Latin America (LATAM) Regional Security Center (RSC) in Mexico City, Mexico will be responsible for providing critical support to a 24/7 security operations center that serves as the hub of Uber-related safety and security information and intelligence collection. The Specialist will help develop and implement the strategy as well as oversee daily operations with the goal of protecting Uber, its people, assets, and brand.
What the Candidate Will Do
- Provide critical support to a 24/7 team of security center analysts that monitor Uber locations, cameras, and alarms and provide real-time responses for employee life safety and physical security issues.
- Ensure effective collaboration with internal threat and intelligence teams to produce timely intelligence products for dissemination to stakeholders and leadership.
- Support the response to incidents, events, and threats that could impact Uber personnel, assets, or business operations.
- Work closely with the security center lead and key security teams to maintain budgets, policies, goals, and SLAs.
- Network, interact, and support effective partnerships with key groups and individuals.

Basic Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in threat analysis management, security, or other relevant experience in a Security Operations Center, Watch Center, Fusion Center, or experience providing quick response assessments.
- A degree in criminal justice or associated field
- Experience leading a Security Operations Center and leading investigations
- The ability to juggle multiple projects at a time in an exciting, fast-paced environment, both collaborating as a team to stay in sync and working independently to get the job done.
- Strong interpersonal skills and highly collaborative with both business leaders and cross-functional partners, with a strong ability to build relationships, gain credibility, and partner with others.
- Self-motivation with a strong affinity for vision setting, strategic problem solving, and driving action
- Fluent in Spanish and advanced proficiency in English
- Excellent business judgment and great communication skills.
- Embody the highest standards of integrity, ethics, and accountability.
