About the Role
The Sales Manager is a people manager who will lead commercial efforts across Sellers within a geo-fence of a city and its surrounding neighborhoods.This individual drives the commercial strategy within our largest and highest potential cities, making commercial decisions to help us against our goal of winning selection street by street and geo by geo. Sales Managers own the results of all sides of the marketplace - not just selection but also experience and the role is 80% commercial work and 20% Ops work.
What You'll Do
- Grow - Drive merchant revenue and value on Uber Eats through deepening our partnerships with them, leveraging Uber Eats tools such as marketing and product adoption, as well as new and innovative initiatives
- Connect - Engage directly and through your team with local restaurants and influencers, and understand which brands are key for us to unlock. Staying informed on restaurant trends is key to success in this role.
- Lead - Manage a team of highly skilled individual contributors that work to retain and grow our NJ and New York Restaurant Partners, while taking a people first approach to support development opportunities for members of the team.
- Influence - Work cross-functionally with our Sales, Product, Operations and Analytics teams to improve the Restaurant partner's experience and achieve revenue targets.
- Strategize - Work with senior leadership across the Sales and Ops org to devise and execute on the overall strategy for retaining and growing our SMB restaurant partner base.
- Analyze & Experiment - Develop and speak to models that evaluate the economic and strategic costs and benefits of various retention and growth initiatives programs and experiments.

Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience within the Sales, Operations or similar functions
- Experience being a leader among peers, influencing cross-functional partners and setting an example for others
- An entrepreneurial mindset, passion for building things, working towards a shared goal, and ownership of outcomes
- Experience working closely and communicating effectively with diverse set of stakeholders in an ever-changing, rapid growth environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Extensive track record of call/seller/am coaching, developing people and building high performing teams.
- Excellent at building and auditing Account Management processes along with analyzing and articulating problems and opportunities therein
- High EQ and natural interpersonal skills. A connector and expert communicator
- Proven track record of leading initiatives, working cross-functionally to achieve goals, and succeeding in a team environment
- Bacherlor's degree
For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$129,000 per year - USD$143,000 per year.
