About the Role
As the Mexico lead for the HCV Rider vertical, you will spearhead growth, engagement, and retention initiatives for Uber Shuttle. This role is pivotal as we anticipate future demands and refine our strategy to adapt to rider needs in a dynamic market environment. You will play a crucial role in understanding our riders by directly engaging with them, gathering insights, and converting these into actionable strategies that enhance their experience and satisfaction.
What You'll Do:
- Directly engage with riders by using Uber shuttles, gathering firsthand insights to understand their needs and experiences.
- Develop and refine the growth strategy, focusing on creative and unconventional marketing tactics to reach our audience where traditional marketing cannot.
- Implement nimble and effective communication strategies to ensure riders fully understand and appreciate the value of our products.
- Design and execute pricing, engagement, and incentive strategies, maintaining a keen analytical approach to balance growth with profitability.
- Foster a culture of bold experimentation-test, learn, and iterate rapidly across different markets to find the most effective solutions.
- Collaborate closely with Operations and Tech teams to drive alignment and execute strategies that support our growth goals.
- Serve as a subject matter expert, defining global standards and best practices for the rider experience.

What You'll Need:
- 3+ years of experience in a fast-paced, data-driven environment, ideally within a consumer-facing sector.
- Proven track record of developing growth strategies in early-stage business settings, including leveraging non-traditional marketing channels.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to think big picture and implement practical, innovative solutions.
- Exceptional analytical skills, comfortable working with numbers and making data-driven decisions without necessarily requiring advanced technical tools like SQL.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills to effectively convey ideas and engage diverse teams.
- Resilience and a startup mentality; not deterred by setbacks and motivated by challenges.
- A curious mind that continuously questions conventional wisdom and is not afraid to venture into uncharted territories.
