About the Role

This role is part of the G-SPI (Global support for platform integrity) team and is focused on document operations. Earner identity needs to be verified before they can start earning on the Uber platform. This is done through collecting essential identity documents and verifying them against the legal policies. This is crucial for ensuring that Uber's doc processing operations remain compliant to the regulatory standards. LATAM has multiple different rules and regulations and they can differ widely country by country. Ensuring that these rules are upheld is imperative to ensure that Uber remains compliant with its licensing requirements to operate in the given country.

As part of the G-SPI Identity team your job will be to ensure that the doc processing program continuously evolves to meet the regional requirements and work closely to advocate for the changes across cross functional teams including Product, Policy, Operations, Vendor Operations etc.

What you'll do:
  1. Partner with regional compliance and safety operations to stay on top of any regulatory changes that may impact our business
  2. Oversee identity verification process by owning key scorecard KPIs on processing accuracy, processing speed, cost, process automation and fraud detection
  3. Work cross functionally to kick off improvement and back to health plans when any KPIs under-perform
  4. Own all communications to regional stakeholders and leadership on business health
  5. Work closely with operations and product to identify and deploy automations
  6. Conduct regular process deep-dives to ensure there are no gaps in the process
  7. Build long term strategy for LATAM Identity based on regional inputs and priorities

Basic Qualifications
  1. Minimum of 3/4 years of experience working in identity and regulatory space
  2. Ability to operate in a fast paced environment
  3. Ability to manage and influence multiple cross functional teams
  4. Demonstrated experience in managing large scale projects
  5. Ability to work independently with little supervision
  6. Exceptional communication skills to work effectively with LATAM Ops and CommOps leadership
  7. Previous experience of working across multiple geographies

Preferred Qualifications
  1. Advanced data analytics skills including SQL
  2. Previous experience working in a matrix organisation
  3. Previous experience of working with Product and Engineering for solutions design
