About the Role
As a Program Manager within the GSS AI & Data Solutions team you will managing the pilots and at scale Gen AI / data labeling projects. A Program Manager leading external projects you play a crucial role in driving the successful execution of complex projects and programs from inception to delivery. Responsibilities encompass a wide range of activities, both strategic and operational, and require a blend of technical knowledge, leadership skills, and business understanding. Leads complex, cross-functional programs with strong stakeholder partnership. Drives operations for successful delivery within budget and timelines
What the Candidate Will Do
- Execution and Delivery: Independently manage a team of data annotators to drive quality and efficiency. Delivery qualitative and quantitative insights to help improve the model development and maintenance based on customer's needs
- Program Leadership: Defines program scope, OKRs, and KPIs. Ensures alignment with stakeholder objectives.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Coordinate with cross-functional teams across ops, engineering and product for all data annotation needs with Uber.
- Financial: Owns program budget. Drives efficiency. Run experiments to move to low cost operating models while keeping a high bar on quality.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate program risks and issues, ensuring timely escalation and resolution.
- Continuous Improvement: Analyze program performance and implement optimizations to improve efficiency and outcomes.
- Communication: Provide regular program updates to stakeholders, including executive leadership. Conduct weekly, monthly and quarterly business reviews.

Basic Qualifications
- Minimum 3.5 years of experience in program management or operations management (5 years preferred)
- Experience in solving problems, both structured and ambiguous, at scale with strong attention to detail in fast changing business environments
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, and recommendations and drive customer and product-focused decisions
- Experience working on Large Scale projects ( LLM evaluations / Gen AI projects / ML based data annotation and or relatable )
- Vendor / account management experience
- Bachelors Degree Obtained
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience of working with scaled operations teams
- Exposure to ML based projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to influence people across a broad variety of job functions through your relationships
- Self-motivated with a strong affinity for strategic problem solving, operations management and driving action
- Willing to explore and learn new technologies, hybrid processes
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$124,000 per year - USD$137,500 per year.
