About the Role

We're looking for a People Partner who will help drive business success by supporting various businesses across our Australia and New Zealand markets. You will support and enable employees and leaders through various stages of the employee lifecycle from talent management, performance management, onboarding / offboarding, and business driven initiatives. You will surface trends and insights, coach and guide managers, to help drive the business, streamline our processes, while upleveling the Uber employee experience.

The ideal candidate is driven by data, organized, can see the big picture as well as having a keen eye for detail, and constantly looking to mature our organisational processes. A successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt as new priorities come up. Outstanding communication skills, relationship management and influencing skills are key attributes in this role.

The Impact You'll Have
  1. Provide support to employees and leaders in the business: coaching on performance management, accommodations, business conduct, policies, and other HR-related topics
  2. Analyze data from various daily activities and projects to identify patterns and trends that can help create, improve processes, or identify areas of concern
  3. Through your commercial knowledge and data driven mindset, identify people-related trends, pain points and opportunities.
  4. Partner with your cross functional teams on larger projects and organizational changes
  5. Identify and execute on continuous improvement of HR programs and processes to enhance the overall employee and manager experience
  6. Provide support to the various functions areas during the performance review lifecycle by contributing to the talent reviews, talent assessment, and follow-ups
  7. Own and strengthen key partnerships on behalf of the team (with other People COEs: Benefits, ER, People Operations, People Systems, Analytics, HRBPs)
  8. Facilitate the adoption and continuous improvement of HR programs, policies, and processes to improve the enablement and experience of employees and managers
  9. Help implement local legal requirements related to awards, compensation, working hours etc ensuring we reduce legal risk, and maintain regulatory compliance by partnering with the business leaders and HRBPs, identify training needs for business units and individual executive guidance needs
  10. Complete processes and project work to maintain compliance in your region or function

The Experience You'll Bring
  1. Must have prior experience as an HR business partner
  2. Solid understanding of Australian labour laws and practices
  3. Proven effective in an environment that is fast-paced and constantly changing. Able to provide thought leadership, creating business focused and innovative ideas to people challenges
  4. Capable of managing and influencing senior / executive stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications
  1. Ideally 3+ years experience in an HR business partner role or 5 years of related work experience preferred
  2. Resourceful, creative, self-starter - ready to roll up their sleeves
  3. Able to swiftly build credibility with senior stakeholders and influence decisions based on both qualitative and quantitative (i.e., storytelling with data) information
  4. Strong foundation in HR concepts and principles
