About the Role
The Local Payment Methods Team within Global Payments is responsible for the Portfolio of Local and Alternative Payment Methods, prioritizing a seamless and comprehensive user experience, as well as cost optimization across the platform.
As Payment Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the implementation, performance, feature development and management of Local Payment Methods across Uber's Platform in different regions (including US & Canada, LATAM and EMEA).
What the Candidate Will Do
You will work closely with several cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering and Data Science to:
- Define the strategy of the Payment Method Portfolio across different markets
- Lead the implementation of New Payment Methods, defining operational guidelines, go-to-market strategies and baseline performance metrics
- Track the performance of Local Payment Methods, including industry benchmarking on KPIs
- Ensure the correct operation / user experience of Payment Methods
- Explore UX improvements and new features
- Additionally, you will collaborate with the Marketing team on the design of adoption and engagement strategies to promote the usage of Local Payment Methods.

Basic Qualifications
- Immediate availability to live in São Paulo
- Advanced English level, fluent conversation
- 5+ years of professional experience within Payments Operations or Product Management
- Strong analytical skills
- Strategic approach to problem solving
- Knowledge of SQL and/or database software
- Experience working with cross-functionals stakeholders including Product, Engineering, Data Science, Marketing, Business Development, Legal, and Finance
- Organization and prioritization skills
- Ability to set and achieve goals while proactively taking initiative with minimal supervision
- Track record of delivering successful projects
- Experience working in cross-collaborative and multicultural teams
- Familiarity with Business Case generation and analysis, understanding the financial/economic implications of different products
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Economics or other quantitative field
- Experience related to alternative payments in the tech industry
