About the Role

As Uber's delivery offerings continue to expand, so does our ecosystem of closely integrated external partners. Our Partner Engineering team is dedicated to growing, enhancing, and scaling our integration ecosystem across various business lines. Partner Engineers operate at the intersection of product development, engineering, and relationship management to help our partners achieve seamless integrations that enhance all user experiences.

We're looking for an analytical problem solver with strong business insight to drive solutions for strategic partners integrating with Uber's APIs and other systems. This role requires building rapport with individuals across all levels of a company, from engineers to executives. Partner Engineers juggle multiple projects and must possess meticulous organizational skills and a keen eye for detail. One of Uber's core values is to "see the forest and the trees," meaning the ability to understand the big picture while managing the details. Strategic thinking supported by data is crucial in this role.

What You'll Do:

  • Technical Integration: Collaborate with strategic partners to integrate Uber's technologies, products, and services into their platforms, ensuring smooth compatibility and functionality
  • Solution Development: Develop tailored solutions and integrations to meet partner needs, utilizing APIs, SDKs, and other tools
  • Technical Support: Provide technical guidance and support throughout the integration process, addressing challenges and enhancing our scaled technical support solutions for maximum effectiveness
  • Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders at partner organizations, serving as the main contact for technical discussions and support
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with internal teams such as engineering, product management, operations, and business development to align on partner integration needs and deliver high-quality solutions
  • Product Feedback: Collect feedback from partners on Uber's products and services, advocate for their needs, and drive improvements and enhancements
  • Documentation and Training: Develop technical documentation, tutorials, and training materials to support partner integrations and facilitate knowledge transfer
  • Technical Expertise: Stay current with Uber's latest technologies, products, and industry trends, acting as a subject matter expert for both internal teams and external partners

What You'll Need:

Basic Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience
  • At least 4 years of experience in an external-facing technical role
  • Strong knowledge of APIs and related technologies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive, results-driven approach
  • Intermediate SQL skills
  • Fluent in Portuguese
  • Proficiency in English
  • Good communication skills in Spanish

Preferred Qualifications

  • Programming or development skills to create innovative solutions and automations (specific programming language not required)
