About the Role
Sr. Technical Engineer at Business Technology Engineering, People Technology, will be responsible to design, build, test, and deploy technical components like Integrations, Extensions, Business rules, workflows, personalizations, and customizations on SaaS applications that power various functional areas within the HR Domain. This role also acts as a subject matter expert, and be a key resource for projects that include rolling out new functionality, implementing business process solutions, and providing end-user training.
The ideal candidate for this role should have a strong background in Oracle HCM Cloud Technical development and be able to serve as SME delivering solutions on various technical components like Integrations, Extensions, Redwood, Fast formulas, Workflow customizations, Reports, Personalizations, etc. Additionally, this candidate should demonstrate excellent time-management and organizational habits, and the ability to communicate clearly and present information.

This role will be part of the Global People Technology team consisting of engineering managers, solution architects, program managers, Application Developers, Data & Integration Engineers, and Software Engineers.
What You'll Do:
- Designing technology strategy & architecture, propose SaaS development guidelines and recommend best practices.
- Design, build, and deploy technical changes leveraging Oracle HCM cloud capabilities
- Strong knowledge of Integration frameworks, Data & reporting strategies, and various customization guidelines to ensure scalability and reduce tech debt on long-term.
- Innovating in the technology space as well as developing custom functionality leveraging our integration platforms.
- Be an ambassador of following industry-standard best enterprise engineering practices on security, observability, monitoring, and deployment
- As a technology expert, advise the business on the right technical solutions and recommend best practices to complement the overall approach. Understand the downstream impacts of these solutions and guide the business accordingly.
- Lead special projects and ad hoc analyses to evaluate new initiatives, products, risks, and opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional technical leaders and architects
- Learn and Adapt Uber technical platforms, which complement technical delivery on SaaS applications
- Demonstrate excellent analytical, problem-solving, and operational skills to evolve the application strategy based on research, data, and industry trends
- Work with global and remote teams and stakeholders
What You'll Need:
- 8+ years of Oracle HCM Cloud experience as technical consultant and/or engineer Oracle HCM and in general, fusion cloud applications
- Proven experience in Oracle Integration Cloud, Oracle Visual Builder, OTBI & BIP Reports, Page personalizations, Workflow customizations, Fast formulas, Redwood design, Security Framework etc.
- Deep knowledge of Oracle HCM cloud technical capabilities, extensibility, Development and deployment methodologies
- Proven experience of working across at least 2 end-to-end HR transformation projects on Oracle HCM cloud
- Strong understanding of Oracle HCM Fusion Cloud implementation methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with building solutions across multiple Oracle HCM Cloud technical areas
- Excellent problem-solving skills for troubleshooting multi-platform technical issues.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Experience using JIRA, Lucidchart, and other project management tools.
- Eagerness to work on complex problems and learn new technologies
