About the Role
The Rider team builds and strengthens the relationship with our riders and their experience with our platform. We aim to increase our active rider base and advocate for their experience. Some exciting projects include launching new rider products, Uber Pass, and improving our functionalities within the app. We develop and operationalize strategies that help us achieve our business goals. We work at scale across cities on critical challenges and initiatives to deliver value and phenomenal experiences to our riders.
As an integral member of Uber's Mexico Rider team, you will help, through research and analytics, understand our existing and potential customers and identify and prioritize the highest opportunities. We move metrics by leading cross-functional teams together to execute initiatives that could get to our targets.

What you'll do:
- Hands-on orientation: act like an owner!
- Problem-solving: Optimize our rides business performance, detect opportunities & issues, and propose improvements that will have an immediate impact.
- Strategic mindset: Determine strategies and tactics to improve riders' experience.
- Analytics: Demonstrates critical thinking and analysis capacity and has a strong attention to detail.
- Stakeholder management: Collaborate closely with key stakeholders (Regional Ops, Support ops, Marketplace, Marketing, etc).
- Project Management: Design, implement, and analyze initiatives to improve Driver earnings, perception, and experience.
- Product expansion: launch and expand products in new markets, looking for scalability.
What you'll need:
- A minimum of 4 years of proven experience in the following: operations, business analytics, project management, finance, business intelligence, strategy, consulting, or similar.
- Advanced SQL is a must.
- Passion for teamwork, you are a teammate.
- Excellent communication and organization skills.
- The ability to balance attention to detail with swift execution-we need to do things quickly and well. Balancing those can be ambitious, and this should be a strength.
- Proven experience interpreting and communicating data to various audiences; ability to translate quantitative findings into action plans.
- Ability to build financial and operational forecasts, monitor daily performance, and perform changes if needed.
- A self-starter attitude-the ability to self-serve, investigate, and obtain the data we require will make you much more effective in this role.
- High resourcefulness to change and ability to execute quickly.
- Proficiency in English & Spanish.
