The InSA Airport & Places Ops role is about driving excellent experiences for our customers across travel hubs and other strategic locations, and about being a true partner to airports, railway stations and other strategic partners identified.
The Rider Operations team is seeking a Regional Operations Manager who will assist in driving management, improvement and ongoing optimisation of pickup experiences at Places & Airports for riders and drivers. Places are high demand geos such as railway stations, malls, and other venues.
This position will provide a 360 degree view of running a business at Uber. The role offers challenges across Marketplace, Operations and execution and liasioning with both product and CRM.

This person will play a critical role in ensuring the pickup experience is efficient, seamless and scalable; the marketplace is optimized; and that incremental revenues for Uber grow. This person will also support assessment and launch of new product initiatives at airports and places. This person is both an owner and a team player.
What the Candidate Will Do
- Marketplace : Use multiple levers such a pricing, rider and driver incentives to create a healthy airports marketplace. Engage with global airports teams to help deploy innovative solutions across airports.
- Product : Work with the Product Ops team to test, configure and roll out new products. Continuous improvement of program resources including product features, in-app information, comms, etc.
- Ops & Execution: Work closely with on-ground airport teams and external stakeholders to ensure positive ongoing pick up experience operations for riders, drivers, and airports experience. Monitor key health metrics of Airports supply and demand and draw insights/recommendations from data. Identify and develop process and quality control levers and tactics for efficient airport operations.
- Driver Engagement : Create CRM programs for rider engagement and resurrection for Airports. Own communication with internal teams regarding new program launches.
- Strategic initiatives: Use quantitative and qualitative data to identify opportunities to streamline or improve pickup operations resulting in key metric improvements, rider/driver satisfaction and/or operational cost reductions.
What the Candidate Will Need
- 3+ years experience of operations /consulting / project management / business intelligence / or related experience; some high-growth operations or startup experience is preferred.
- A "driver" personality - biased toward action, great collaborator and master disambiguator/simplifier - constantly pushing toward clarity and delivery.
- Growth scale ups/ tech / start-up experience preffered. Self-motivated, works independently and possesses strong organization and time management skills.
- Exceptional Excel / data management skills. SQL proficiency strongly preferred.
- Bonus : if you have a mix of ops + analytics background and previous experince in growth scaling
