About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Operations Lead to join our Groceries and Retail business, leading the Marketplace Health and Investments Allocation team for GR global operations. In this role, you'll manage a high-performance team focused on enhancing the consumer experience while driving cost efficiencies. You'll ensure marketplace reliability by addressing supply and demand imbalances and setting the strategy for allocating investments in pricing and incentives.
As a key player, you'll collaborate across various functions (Tech, Finance, Strategy & Planning, Regional Operations) and work closely with other Delivery LOBs (Restaurant, Direct, and Connect) to align and execute a unified marketplace investments strategy.

This role requires a strategic thinker with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and a focus on creating scalable processes and frameworks that contribute to the success of global operations.
What You'll Do
- Marketplace Reliability Metrics: Define KPIs and implement processes, dashboards, and data insights to monitor marketplace health and other related metrics. You'll be responsible for detecting and anticipating marketplace imbalances and reliability issues.
- Investment Allocation: Design and implement world-class models, guidelines, and processes for defining investment strategies for courier pricing and incentives. Use a holistic approach to ensure marketplace reliability and long-term growth, while optimizing costs.
- Strategic Alignment Across Delivery LOBs: Advocate for a cohesive "One Uber" strategy, collaborating closely with teams across Restaurant, Direct, and Connect to build a unified earner pricing strategy and allocate investments effectively.
- Cost Efficiency: Own Cost Per Trip optimization programs, managing and recommending strategies to reduce costs while maintaining a positive consumer experience. Collaborate with Product and Finance teams to monitor efficiency gains from tech solutions and identify further optimization opportunities.
- Supply Management: Develop frameworks to manage short-term and long-term marketplace imbalances related to supply, leading initiatives with Regional teams to ensure the right supply is available at the right time.
- Global Scale Execution: Design, implement, and enforce frameworks that enable scalable marketplace operations across different regions.
What You'll Need / Bonus Points
Basic Qualifications
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in Operations, Business/General Management, Strategy, Planning, or a related field.
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong strategic thinking with the ability to develop frameworks and make data-driven decisions.
- Proven experience leading cross-functional teams (Product, Operations, Finance) and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex and technical concepts to diverse audiences, including senior executives.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data insights to drive decisions, measure success, and identify business opportunities.
- Enflish proficiency is a must.
- Good understanding of analytical tools: SQL and Python.

- Experience in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity, anticipate risks, and take creative yet responsible risks.
- An MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
