About the Role

As the Marketplace Abuse Lead at Uber, you'll be at the forefront of maintaining the integrity of our platform! Your mission will be to develop and implement strategies that proactively identify, prevent, and mitigate various forms of earner marketplace abuse. Collaborating with cross-functional teams-including Central and Territories teams, Product, Risk, and more-you'll lead initiatives to establish and enforce policies, conduct thorough investigations, and utilize data analytics to detect abuse patterns. Your leadership will drive operational efficiency and ensure a seamless experience for our users!

  • Team management: Lead and mentor the Marketplace Abuse team, fostering a culture of high performance!
  • Monitor earner abuse trends: Leverage data analytics to identify and understand abuse patterns.
  • Design and implement strategies: Develop and execute comprehensive strategies to detect, prevent, and mitigate abusive activities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner closely with Operations, Product, Legal, and customer support teams to enhance earner abuse prevention measures.
  • Report to leadership: Provide regular updates and actionable insights to senior leadership on marketplace abuse trends and the effectiveness of preventive measures.

What You'll Need

  • 7+ years of experience solving complex analytical problems; experience in tech companies, business consulting, or related fields is preferred.
  • Professional English proficiency.
  • At least 7 years of experience managing a team.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in leveraging data to identify patterns and develop actionable insights.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and make data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment, managing multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, or similar is preferred.
