About the role

Uber is looking to expand the Marketing Solutions team within its Performance Marketing group focused on creating powerful solutions to accelerate our marketing efforts. This role will put to use your technical skills working with data technologies with a strong ability to understand the business impact of the data.

Marketing Solutions is part of the Marketing Technology Operations Team. The team is highly operational, technical, and analytical, responsible for creating ad hoc solutions, automation and data ETLs across all paid marketing ad network channels and campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the channels teams to provide solutions across data, reporting, and in-platform automation needs
  • Survey internal and external systems landscape to enable integration/automation
  • Develop MVP solutions to inform product roadmap
  • Drive development and enforcement of standards, tools and methodologies. (campaign tagging, third party security etc)
  • Technical POC for channel marketing team for high impact issues and roadmap items
  • Providing detailed specifications and guidance to development teams to productionize solutions
  • Tech/development for innovation projects with unproven GB impact
  • Establish best practices and frameworks for successful automation & global scaling.
  • Collaborate with PMs and Data Science to enhance adstack features and modeling

Requirements

A successful candidate is a proactive thinker, flexible with working in an agile and fast-paced environment. You have experience in the performance marketing technology space and have demonstrated the ability to make sense out of large quantities of data and build data pipeline systems to synthesize, simplify, and share data with ad partners. You are comfortable working with various stakeholders such as marketing, engineering and product teams as well as external vendors. You are comfortable proactively identifying new areas of improvements that will help improve the tools, data quality, and reliability as well as effectively manage a backlog. You have strong project management skills and are able to lead and execute projects from start to finish.

  • 4+ years of experience with Marketing Technology and Analytics
  • Experience in SQL, Python (or equivalent)
  • A quick learner and out of the box thinker to create scalable solutions in short timeframes
  • Experience working with product and data science teams desired
  • Experience working across channels and many stakeholders
  • Familiar with marketing terminology like: CPA, CPC, CPM, Attribution, Incrementality, Brand Sentiment and LTV
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills
  • Working knowledge of third party tooling such as Facebook, Google etc
  • Ability to set goals and execute under tight deadlines
  • Experience with web analytics, web tracking and app tracking

Preferred Qualifications

  • Worked directly with online marketing platforms
  • Outstanding communication skills, particularly in conveying technical concepts in a manner that is easy for marketers and non-technical partners to understand and vice versa.
  • Basic understanding of product feeds
