About the Role
We are actively recruiting a proven leader to spearhead our sales development team in Chicago. In this role, the leader will be responsible for building and growing a team of sales representatives dedicated to acquiring net new customers in our high growth markets. The ideal candidate has experience focussed on leadership in the B2B space and is empathetic, data-driven, and a self-starter with experience in both mature and start-up environments.

What You'll Do
- Recruit, train, and develop 8-10 early career sales/business development representatives, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Create effective KPIs, metrics, and processes, to increase lead generation and strengthen conversion and win rates.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales Leadership, Sales Operations, Sales Enablement, and Marketing to implement best practices across BDR & SDR teams
- Train sales process best practices with tools such as Salesforce, Zoominfo, Sales Navigator
- Motivate Individuals and Team to exceed objectives through coaching, regular broadcast of results, and creative incentives
- Identify and make recommendations for improvement in the areas of process, efficiency, and productivity
- Report and forecast sales activity, performance, and trends to senior sales leadership
- Manage performance to hold reps to a high level of accountability through transparent coaching and communication
- Develop reps into sales ready candidates for future Account Executive positions
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year working in a sales leadership or team lead role
- Minimum of 3 years of sales experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as stakeholder management, outstanding organizational skills, process driven decision making and data analysis experience
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of proven track record as an individual contributor, including BDR/SDR & closing AE experience
- Proven enthusiastic and motivational leadership, fostering a high-performance culture
- Desire to take initiative; thrive on change, articulate vision and comfortable with ambiguity
- Experience with B2B sales tech stack including: Salesforce, Gong, Tableau, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Groove, Google Suite
For Chicago, IL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$113,000 per year - USD$124,500 per year.
