About the Role
The Localization team is seeking an experienced localization project manager or junior program manager to help tackle Uber's growing localization needs. In this role, you'll work closely with other Localization Program Managers (LPgMs) to ensure on-time & high linguistic quality in all project deliveries. You'll work with outside vendors and freelancers to manage day-to-day localization requests across all Uber languages, as well as manage programs of small/medium complexity of your own.
This will be a hybrid position requiring 2.5 days a week average in the CDMX office.
What You'll Do
- Manage day-to-day localization of Uber products and content across all supported languages, from project creation, tracking, and resolving vendor queries to delivery of localized content
- Interface vendor PMs for day-to-day project duties and ensure smooth execution of tasks
- Identify and manage project risks and communicate project status including metrics
- Work on miscellaneous team projects & initiatives as needed by LPgMs & leads
- Possibility to manage programs of small/medium complexity of your own

Basic Qualifications
- BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
- 2 years of localization project management experience in high-tech industry, preferably on the client side
- Great understanding of localization and internationalization issues, with ability to educate others
- Self-directed - ability to take initiative in identifying and solving large problems
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, work independently and be able to chart direction of projects/program
- Experience using CAT tools, TMSs as a project manager and bug routing and ticket management tools such as JIRA and Phabricator
- Very detail-oriented, quality-focused and proactive
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills (whether with vendors or stakeholders) and the ability to manage multiple projects & LQAs simultaneously
- Ability to learn new tools/systems quickly
- Excellent team player
