The Product Operations team at Uber plays a crucial role in ensuring the development and rollout of products that drive the business forward. As a Product Operations Manager in Core Services, you will work closely with our cross-functional partners to identify opportunities, prioritize, test, rollout and iterate products and own the communication throughout the product development cycle. Your work is to ensure we build and launch the right platform solution that will support the company growth across multiple business verticals on a global scale.

The identity team is responsible for defining one of the fundamental components of the user's identity and risk management system and protecting our business accounts against identity fraud and stolen identities using sophisticated AI/ML techniques. In this role, you will help scope, build, and scale sophisticated identity solutions and scalable distributed systems and technologies to enable Uber to grow its business globally.

What the Candidate Will Do:

Strategy

  • Surface and advocate for key insights from the business to advise product improvements
  • Advise product teams on the global feasibility of products throughout the product lifecycle
  • Lead a community of strategic leaders to encourage meaningful impact to the business

Collaboration

  • Align functional partners on key objectives for the program/product
  • Collaborate with key partners (legal, tax, policy, support etc) to prepare the product for launch, in line with business objectives
  • Maintain regular communications with cross-functional partners across the org

Operations

  • Define the operating structure and processes to implement on product strategy as an individual contributor on a highly-effective product operations team
  • Develop an end-to-end product testing & rollout plan, and project-manage implementation
  • Track core business metrics related to the product
  • Identify key problem areas and/or geographies impacted by the product post-launch

Basic Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication, the ability to engage internal and external customers
  • Deep analytical experience, SQL Proficiency
  • Strong cross-functional, project management experience
  • Ability to use data to inform and support critical decisions
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in operations, business consulting, finance or similar analytical role

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working on global projects, or in an international setting
  • Prior experience working in the safety/risk/fintech/payment space
  • Strategic alignment, able to bring key partners across functions together
  • Ability to foster collaboration and facilitate teamwork

For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$180,000 per year - USD$200,000 per year.

For Sunnyvale, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$180,000 per year - USD$200,000 per year.
