About the Role
Build the strategy for the next phase of the ridesharing business in Brazil; enable execution by improving planning processes, innovating on market intelligence, developing a strong and sustainable portfolio strategy to reach all users and building strong bridges with other local teams to share best practices and identify new opportunities. The Head of S&P Brazil will be responsible for building the strategy for Uber's largest country, while closely delimiting teams' priorities to make it happen!

---- What the Candidate Will Do ----
- Strategy: Define Brazil's strategy and influence LatAm's regional strategy. You'll be responsible for building the business strategy to achieve high levels of growth in a highly competitive environment while continuing to improve margins.
- Thought Leadership: Working with all vertical leaders across Brazil to set strategic priorities, align regional and company vision, and share best practices. Be the thought partner and right hand to Brazil's General Manager.
- Own the narrative of the country: You will be responsible for communicating the strategy, challenges, and needs of the country to get buy-in and support from regional and global teams to prioritize Brazil's needs.
- Program/Project Management: Be an inventive, go-get-it multitasker, supporting teams across the country and region. You'll be the lead and go to person for many key initiatives, not just for Operations, but across key teams within the organization such as Finance, Growth, Marketing, and Product.
- Process Improvement: Identify operational and structural weaknesses and help improve or innovate new processes aiming at organizational efficiency
- Stakeholder Management: Foster strong working relationships with leaders from cross-functional and sub regional teams (Engineering, Corporate Development, Marketing, Product, etc.) to ensure efficient and productive working relationships.
- Lead by Example: Be truth-seeking and comfortable with data, set high standards for the team to think boldly and creatively, and then funnel that energy into concrete processes and execution plans. Move fast and be biased toward action.

---- Basic Qualifications ----
- At least 8+ years of investment banking/consulting/strategy or related experience; also high-growth operations or startup experience is very much preferred.
- Bilingual proficiency in Portuguese and English.
- Outstanding communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate to senior leadership both written (documents, emails, decks) and verbally, synthesizing a lot of information quickly, highlighting the key take-aways, and disseminating meaningful insights. Be an exceptional storyteller.
- Highly analytical with strong problem solving skills to dissect complex problems into simple solutions.
- Balance attention to detail with swift execution - we need to do things quickly, and we need to do them well.
- Self-starter - the ability to self-serve, investigate and get the data we require will make you much more effective in this role.
- Team player to develop strategies and foster a cohesive and creative work environment.

- A "driver" personality - biased toward action, great collaborator and master simplifier - constantly pushing toward clarity and delivery.
- Grittiness. You never hesitate to roll up your sleeves and address something hands-on, you persevere when others fall away.
- Financial analysis experience to improve our forecasting models and decision making process.
- Exceptional Excel / Google suite / data skills. SQL Proficiency highly preferred
- MBA preferred.
