About the Role

This role will lead a team that is responsible for our B2B marketing strategy with an ultimate goal of increasing sales leads to drive restaurant acquisition and driving engagement with merchants in Expansion portfolio to drive merchant life time value, product adoption, and ultimately financial benefit for Uber Eats Japan.

To do this the candidate will need to develop a strategy to increase top of funnel leads as well as improving conversion rates at all stages of the funnel. This will involve improving our communication strategies to merchants, improving awareness and saliency of Uber for Merchants, and creating a strong value proposition to empower our Sales teams to convert. Partnership is another source of lead generation and this role will lead B2B partnership function as well.

As a people manager, You will lead a team of 4 ICs to enable Growth for our merchants.

Your Impact in Role:
  1. Lead and coach a team of high-performing Growth Enabler team to drive customer acquisition, retention, growth, and solution adoption.
  2. Foster a culture of performance, accountability, and professional development.
  3. Set clear goals, provide ongoing feedback, and build succession pipelines.
  4. Develop and execute a B2B marketing and partnership strategy that aligns with both country and Uber's broader sales and go-to-market objectives.
  5. Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape, adjusting strategies accordingly.
  6. Expand Uber's footprint in key segments by building strong relationships with major accounts.
  7. Drive cross-functional collaboration with Product, Operations, Comms and Brand Marketing teams to tailor merchant communication strategy and narratives
  8. Implement best-in-class processes for tracking performance, KPIs, and customer success in partnership with Commercial Operations.

The Experience You'll Bring:
  1. 10+ years of experience in Marketing (preferably B2B marketing), Partnerships, or commercial leadership roles.
  2. Experience in driving and improving end to end customer acquisition funnel in a B2B environment
  3. Has experience in media buying, planning both in brand and performance marketing
  4. Excellent ability to engage and negotiate with senior stakeholders (C-level, VP-level).
  5. Strong analytical and data-driven approach to decision-making.
  6. Experience working in complex, matrix, and cross-functional global organizations

---- Preferred Qualifications ----
  1. B2B Marketing experience, with particular focus on lead generation, and funnel conversion improvement
  2. F2F customer experience with a history of achieving growth through marketing strategies
  3. Knowledge of trend in the high tech industry, and restaurant market
  4. Fluent both in Japanese and English
  5. Management consulting background and/or MBA is a plus
