About the Role
As the Engineering Manager for the Partner Identity team at Uber, you will lead a team of talented engineers to build Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions that empower Uber's global ecosystem of partners.
In this role, you will collaborate with Product, Design, Data, and Customer teams to define opportunities, drive the strategic vision, and deliver scalable, secure, and robust systems. Your leadership will be pivotal in shaping the next-generation Identity platform to drive engagement and generate demand via various Partnerships, M&As, Loyalty Programs, and 3P Distribution.
A key focus will be ensuring seamless interactions between Uber and its third-party partners through APIs and advanced integration capabilities. - Build sophisticated identity solutions and scalable distributed systems and technologies to enable Uber to grow its business globally.

- Ensures timely delivery with clear project plan and timelines, which requires exercising judgment to resolve trade-offs between short-term and long-term priorities, managing stakeholder expectations, and working with dependent teams to align deliverables.
- Promote the culture of continuous improvement, emphasizing code reviews, design reviews, and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Drive innovation, definition, deliverables planning (roadmap) and design of entirely new Uber products and features to deliver against team and company goals.
- Monitor and measure launched products and feed learnings back into the product development process.
---- Basic Qualifications ----
- Proven experience as a Software Engineering Manager with a track record of successfully leading teams in developing critical software.
- Deep understanding of full-stack software development with experience leading both backend and front-end engineers.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to encourage and empower a diverse team.
- Ability to work with product management, data scientists and other shareholders to deliver high-quality products on time and within scope.
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.

- Experience in risk, identity, security, or similar focus.
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$223,000 per year - USD$248,000 per year.
For Sunnyvale, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$223,000 per year - USD$248,000 per year.
