About the Role
Uber is seeking an Engineering Manager II to lead teams within Uber for Business (U4B), specifically focused on Self-Serve capabilities, Organizational Experiences, and Customer Engagement. These areas are critical in enabling organizations to seamlessly onboard, manage their accounts, and drive engagement with Uber's mobility and meal solutions.
As an Engineering Manager II, you will lead a team of engineers, driving execution, fostering collaboration, and ensuring the technical excellence of your domain. ---- What You Will Do ----
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers working on Self-Serve, Org Experiences, and Customer Engagement, ensuring strong execution and high-quality deliverables.
- Drive team alignment with U4B's broader strategy, ensuring the development of scalable and intuitive solutions for business users.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Design, Data Science, and other Engineering teams to define roadmaps, scope projects, and deliver impactful products.
- Establish and uphold engineering best practices for code quality, system reliability, and scalability.
- Support hiring, onboarding, and career growth of engineers through mentorship and performance feedback.
- Foster a culture of learning, innovation, and technical excellence within the team.
- Communicate project updates and technical insights to leadership and stakeholders.
---- What You Will Need ----
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years of management experience leading software engineering teams.
- Strong technical acumen with experience in scalable distributed systems, APIs, and web or mobile platforms.
- Track record of leading engineering teams to successfully deliver complex projects.
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Product, Design, and Business stakeholders.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Prior experience building customer-facing SaaS platforms or enterprise software solutions.
- Familiarity with growth strategies, experimentation, and self-serve onboarding experiences.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on technical execution and team development.
