About the Role
As the Head of Finance - Merchant Sales, you will build and lead the Finance team supporting the Uber Eats Sales Organization. You will be a key member of the Strategic Finance leadership team and the primary Finance partner to the Sales Operations leadership team. In this role, you will lead global sales compensation planning, build performance analytics infrastructure, and optimize sales efficiency and investment strategy across Uber Eats' global sales force. You will serve as the "CFO" to the Sales Organization.

What You'll Do
Strategic Business Partnership
- Act as the primary financial advisor to Sales Organization leadership across global markets
- Co-develop strategic goals, quota structures, and GTM alignment with senior stakeholders
- Serve as a thought partner to Finance leadership on sales strategy, investment decisions, and long-range planning
Sales Compensation Planning
- Partner with Regional Finance and Sales Operations teams to align financial targets with compensation design
- Ensure incentive plans and quota structures drive performance, clarity, and accountability across segments
Sales Performance Management
- Build scalable, dynamic models to track sales productivity, simulate compensation scenarios, and evaluate and optimize ROI
- Drive performance reporting and insights that inform sales investment decisions and strategic prioritization
- Lead sales productivity analysis and support business reviews with performance trend insights
- Regularly interface with C-level leadership to provide updates on sales ROI, performance trends, and forecasting accuracy; influence decision-making through data-driven recommendations
Business Analytics
- Translate financial insights into actionable recommendations linked to operational outcomes and market dynamics
- Deep-dive into merchant economics, segmentation, and sales funnel conversion metrics
Team Leadership & Process Excellence
- Build and lead a high-performing Sales Finance team
- Improve planning processes, enhance systems integration, and streamline financial reporting across functions
- Foster a culture of performance, transparency, and continuous learning within the Sales Finance team and broader Sales organization
Innovation
- Push the boundaries of traditional forecasting-embracing creativity, adaptability, and technical innovation
- Continually seek out new tools and methods to improve forecasting, modeling, and decision-making
Basic Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in Sales Finance, Strategic FP&A, Sales Operations, or Investment Banking
- Experience at a high-growth, B2B enterprise-preferably in a sales-driven and marketplace environment
- Proven success building or leading Sales Finance and/or Compensation Planning functions
Preferred Qualifications
- BS/BA in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA, CPA, or CFA preferred
- Deep knowledge of sales compensation frameworks, quota setting, and performance analytics
- Strong financial modeling skills and experience with financial planning tools
- Demonstrated cross-functional leadership experience, especially with Sales, Ops, HR, and Strategy
- Excellent communication skills, executive presence, and a strategic yet agile mindset with a bias for action
- Passion for marketplaces, technology, and solving complex operational challenges at scale
For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$230,000 per year - USD$255,500 per year.
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$230,000 per year - USD$255,500 per year.
