By streamlining processes and championing security initiatives, you will play a critical role in supporting our goal of achieving a zero-trust architecture. - Assist developers in using security tools effectively, troubleshooting issues, and integrating best practices into their workflows.
- Develop high-quality technical materials, such as documentation, tutorials, blogs, and videos, to educate and empower the engineering community.
- Build relationships with developers, host workshops, and foster a culture of collaboration and security awareness.
- Introduce and use AI tools to streamline processes, enhance adoption, and provide insights into tool usage and feedback trends.
- Pinpoint areas where the team can add more automation and AI-driven solutions to increase adoption, streamline workflows, and boost productivity.
- Collect, analyze, and prioritize feedback from developers to inform feature development, resolve pain points, and improve tools.
- Advocate for security best practices across the organization and help align security tools with engineering needs and goals.
- Promote the adoption of security tools and frameworks, ensuring they align with Uber's goal of achieving a zero-trust architecture.
- Work closely with engineering, product, and security teams to ensure tools and resources are intuitive, effective, and aligned with organizational objectives.
---- Basic Qualifications ----
- Strong experience in software development, DevOps, or security engineering, with proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, or Java.
- Hands-on experience with security tools and frameworks like PKI, SPIRE, HashiCorp Vault, or encryption technologies.
- Proven ability to create high-quality technical content, including tutorials, documentation, and presentations, tailored for developer audiences.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex security concepts effectively to technical teams.
- Familiarity with micro service architecture and the service development lifecycle.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a track record of addressing developer pain points and troubleshooting complex challenges.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams, building strong relationships and aligning security initiatives with developer needs and business goals.

- Strong knowledge of security concepts like zero-trust architecture, certificate management, and workload identity.
- Experience using AI tools to improve workflows, analyze feedback, or enhance documentation.

- Success in building and supporting developer communities through events, workshops, or projects.

For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$149,000 per year - USD$165,500 per year.
For Seattle, WA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$149,000 per year - USD$165,500 per year.
For Sunnyvale, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$149,000 per year - USD$165,500 per year.
