About the Role

As part of the Consumer Growth - GR role, you will be responsible for driving consumer adoption, engagement and retention for both new and existing categories within our retail portfolio. You'll be responsible for developing data-driven insights, creating strategies, and scaling the most impactful and innovative business initiatives to grow our Grocery & Retail business in Spain. This segment requires new approaches to our eater growth and you will be responsible for uncovering insights and executing the growth strategy. This role will work closely with cross-functional counterparts across Spain and will report to the GR growth lead.

What You'll Do

  • Data insights: you'll leverage the power of data to drive key business decisions and shape the future of Uber's expanding marketplace. By analyzing vast datasets, you'll uncover actionable insights that optimize user experience and unlock new growth opportunities. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to translate data-driven insights into strategic initiatives, ensuring we stay ahead of industry trends. Your ability to interpret complex data, identify patterns, and communicate findings will be critical in driving the continued success and innovation of our platform
  • Execution: In this role, you'll be at the forefront of turning ambitious ideas into tangible results. You'll execute growth initiatives from concept to completion, ensuring flawless execution at every stage. This involves coordinating with diverse teams, managing resources, and overseeing project timelines to deliver high-impact outcomes that drive business growth.
  • Experiment: experimentation is key to innovation and growth. You'll design, execute, and evaluate experiments. By testing hypotheses, exploring new ideas, and leveraging testing, you'll identify opportunities for optimization and expansion. Your ability to embrace ambiguity and take calculated risks will be crucial in driving continuous growth in our platform
  • Strategy & Initiatives: you'll be responsible for shaping strategic initiatives rooted in deep analysis to drive growth and market expansion. By analyzing key business metrics, consumer behavior, and industry trends, you'll identify high-impact opportunities that can be transformed into actionable initiatives.
  • Stakeholder management: Effective stakeholder management will be crucial to driving success across various initiatives. You'll build and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment on goals and priorities. This involves clear communication, managing expectations, and navigating complex needs across cross-functional teams and leadership.

What You'll Need

  • A minimum of 4 years in analytical roles; background in a growth role in a fast paced startup or in business consulting/investment banking preferred.
  • Proficient in SQL and Excel- we will not consider any candidate without this
  • Data driven decision making mentality and sound business judgment through strong analytical thinking
  • Executor with bias for action and a proactive personality with ability to take initiative in a constantly changing work environment and adopt a generalist do-what-it-takes mindset
  • Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills, with a knack for understanding consumer lifecycle. You have a very good level of written and spoken English
  • Creative 360 thinker: you are able to think outside the box and come up with new approaches and initiatives to reach ambitious growth targets
  • Experience or interest on the grocery & retail space is a plus
  • Attention to detail
