#Greatmindsdontthinkalike: At Uber, we take pride in our diversity and working environment that sees you as more than just a person that can do the job, but a unique individual that can level up our organization with a perspective only you can offer. About The Team

Our Grocery & Retail business is a startup within Uber, a team focussed on growth and innovation, but with the support and leverage of Uber's large global ridesharing and delivery businesses. We own the delivery of everything that isn't restaurant food - think groceries, essentials, alcohol, pharmaceuticals, and (in the future) many more retail categories... We have bold ambitions for our Grocery & Retail business globally, having already scaled it to a $10b AUD ARR turnover and growing at 40%+ YoY - and we're really only just getting started!

About The Role

The Consumer Growth Lead is responsible for driving end-to-end Grocery & Retail adoption across the entire funnel-from awareness to acquisition, engagement and retention. Your job will involve leading the Consumer Growth team and working cross-functionally to blend data-driven decision making with creative execution and optimise our growth levers and our spend efficiency. You'll play a critical role in ensuring we deliver our ambitious growth targets to drive sustainable, long-term impact for the Australia & New Zealand delivery business.

Your Impact in Role

  • Lead the Consumer Growth team to shape and execute growth and engagement strategies for Grocery & Retail in ANZ, bringing fresh ideas and innovation
  • Own the strategy and planning; build strategic frameworks & processes to guide investment portfolio allocation, decision-making and improve governance
  • Manage the incentives (e.g., promotional) budget to ensure we hit growth targets and are improving efficiency and incrementality across various levers and influence other investment levers (e.g., Delivery Fees, Membership Benefits) to optimise economic trade-offs
  • Partner with the Food Delivery and Mobility teams to identify synergies and unlock the "power of the platform" e.g., sharing consumer insights, running joint Marketing efforts, improving our Membership program etc.
  • Influence and mobilise levers, some of which will be owned by your team, and some of which are owned by cross-functional teams (e.g., Marketing, Merchant Ops & Commercial teams) to achieve shared strategic objectives
  • Systematically identify and proactively improve process inefficiencies within the team and in adjacent teams to ensure we are scaling our efforts and impact
  • Work with Product, Global Growth and other HQ teams to inform their roadmaps and ensure they are working on the initiatives that will drive the largest business impact for our region (and globally)

The Experience You'll Bring:

  • 8+ years experience in growth, data-driven marketing, strategy consulting, CRM and/or operational roles; prior experience in Retail a plus
  • Strong track record of engaging and influencing cross-functional teams in an ever-changing, rapid growth environment with many competing priorities
  • Ability to identify business problems and potential solutions based on data and frameworks
  • Strategic focus and vision; comfort identifying which projects the team should prioritise, gaining leadership buy-in and enabling the team to reach goals quickly
  • A go-getter attitude; you're willing to take a hands-on approach to get the job done and bias towards action
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • An analytical mindset and strong business acumen with experience using SQL, Tableau and/or advanced excel; being comfortable with the tools will be crucial to your success in this role
