You will collaborate closely with our Claims Leadership team based in Phoenix, Arizona. This hybrid role requires 50% onsite attendance at our Phoenix office, allowing for both in-person engagement and the flexibility of remote work.
What You'll Do:
- Manage a team of Claims Associates and/or Claims Advocates as part of Uber's US & Canada Claims operation
- Provide day-to-day direction, leadership, and management of claim functions with a focus on operational excellence, quality claim management, and customer service
- Implement strategic vision; align team to organizational goals and key initiatives
- Hold team accountable for their performance and development including, but not limited to, effective performance management, evaluation of performance gaps, and appropriate collaboration with Human Resources
- Drive team development by identifying key opportunity areas and strengths
- Work cross-functionally with various business groups to drive key measures as they relate to insurance claims
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Front-line leadership experience in a result-driven environment
- 2+ years of experience in Auto Claims Adjusting role OR 6+ months of experience on the First Notice of Loss claims team at Uber OR 6+ months experience handling sensitive or safety-related user issues
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience in claims adjusting.
- 2+ years of leadership experience in a formal or team lead capacity.
- 6+ months of experience on the First Notice of Loss (FNOL) team at Uber
- 1 year of experience handling sensitive or safety-related user issues within Uber.
- Strong understanding of claims policies and procedures, with the ability to apply them effectively.
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills with a high degree of adaptability to evolving business needs.
- Proficient in managing multiple tasks across various technology platforms.
- Experience working with Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides, Forms) and excellent communication skills.
- Experience or familiarity with project managemen
For Phoenix, AZ-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$83,000 per year - USD$92,500 per year.
