Associate, Strategic Finance - G&A Finance

This is a hybrid position (50% in office) and you must be located in, or willing to relocate, to New York or San Francisco for the position.

About the Role

As part of the Strategic Finance team, you will help scale our financial reporting, analytics, and planning capabilities-empowering leaders across the company to make data-driven decisions. You will play a critical role in headcount-related financial reporting and contribute to key strategic and operational initiatives.

In this role, you will serve as the subject matter expert on Global Headcount Consolidation. You'll be responsible for analyzing and forecasting headcount and related costs, using data from multiple EPM systems to build and refine models and dashboards that support more effective planning.

You'll also partner closely with HR to align on compensation assumptions, hiring plans, and attrition trends. In addition, you'll support the monthly close and annual planning cycles for headcount and travel & entertainment (T&E) expenses.

What You'll Do

  • Financial planning and analysis: Provide comprehensive financial insights into our business; work closely with the finance organization and with regional business leaders to develop financial forecasts and operational goals, apply business judgement and financial insights to help with decision making
  • Sophisticated financial modeling: build models from scratch, improve existing models, and break complex models down into components that consolidate
  • Process improvement: help improve our planning processes and ensure finance best practices spread through the organization. Work closely with accounting to provide input on management reporting needs and better understand our actuals
  • Innovate: we will push the boundaries beyond traditional forecasting. Be creative, adaptive, and eager to learn new technical skill sets
  • Special projects: new initiatives always come up, you will have the chance to contribute beyond regular modelling

Basic Qualifications

  • BS/BA in Finance, Accounting, Economics or other relevant subject
  • 2+ years of proven experience
  • Experience with Excel/Google Sheets
  • Prior financial and/or analytical experience including FP&A, investment banking, management consulting, private equity, or operations

  • Outstanding analytical skills - standard methodologies are second-nature, your models are efficient, scalable, and intuitive
  • Excellent communication and people skills - numbers are key, but a business is built with people
  • Self-starter - you will take initiative, be dedicated, set and drive toward goals
  • Ability to prioritize - we are consistently working on multiple projects at any given time, so we are looking for someone who is comfortable working in an ambiguous environment and has the ability to optimally multitask
  • Standout colleague - this is a highly collaborative and encouraging team environment
  • Attention to detail and ability to execute in a fast paced environment
  • Experience with enterprise-level financial planning systems

For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$106,000 per year - USD$118,000 per year.

For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$106,000 per year - USD$118,000 per year.
