Reporting to the Accounting Director, the Accounting Manager is a key technical high level professional with solid understanding of GAAP & disclosures, cash assets, lease accounting and experience with ERP implementation and/or process change. This is a hybrid position with a requirement of approximately 20% of time in the office, focused on month close-process period each month.

What You Will Be Doing:
- Manage the Company’s close-process achieving operations-level income statements in four days and consolidated financial statements in five days, including uploading Canadian trial balances, and approving close and consolidating journal entries in the Company’s multiple ledgers.
- Supervise/mentor the general accounting team (two Staff Accountants; two Senior Accountants) responsible for analyzing/reconciling all balance sheet accounts and accounting processes posting to Company ledgers via journal entries, other than those assigned to the Cost Accountant and the Operations Accounting Manager.
- Reconcile intercompany accounts to ensure proper elimination and consolidation of balances between legal/ledger entities. Work with general accounting teams to resolve discrepancies.
- Serve as the administrator for the Company’s Lease Accounting software, Visual Lease (VL), ensuring the lease data in VL is complete and accurate.
- Coordinate with Company’s outsourced tax firm to ensure requested financial data and schedules are provided timely to support quarterly and annual federal and state income tax filings.
- Manage scheduled audits and examinations to ensure requested data/documentation is provided when expected and past-due requests are escalated.
- Research and report changes in disclosure requirements for private companies and assist with assessing impact on Company accounting processes.
- Drive continuous improvement and standardization in the Company’s accounting and reporting procedures and processes.
Skills You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; Master’s Degree preferred
- Active CPA required
- Solid understanding of GAAP and disclosures
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in Public Accounting
- Minimum of 8 years overall Accounting experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience managing/leading a team
- ERP Systems experience required
- Strong quantitative analytical skills
- Strong personal computer skills, including advanced proficiency with MS office software, particularly Excel (VLOOKUP’s, pivot tables, etc.)
- Demonstrated skills researching and documenting support for accounting conclusions as well as a history of solving multiple complex operational and accounting challenges
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with tight deadlines and present conclusions of analysis with supporting data to senior management in an organized and thoughtful manner
- MS Axapta (Dynamics AX) financial system experience preferred
