Are you an Application Specialist or senior third line Technical Support professional seeking a new challenge in a growing international business?

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join the Applications team for one of market leading Data and Process Analysis softwares, you will have the opportunity to support leading European and Global clients in getting the most from our Wedge software.

Reporting into our Wedge Supply Manager and working closely with other Application Specialists and Software Engineers, you will provide first class high-level software support to end-users, field engineers, technicians, and product support personnel. This role involves diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and debugging complex electro/mechanical equipment, computer systems, sophisticated software, and networked and/or wireless systems. You will be a key player in addressing issues where primary product support has not resolved equipment or software problems.

What You Will Do:

As one of our Application Specialists you will engage in challenging technical problem-solving, directly impacting customer satisfaction and product reliability. You will work closely with a variety of technical professionals, gaining insights into complex technical systems and enhancing your problem-solving and communication skills. Your contributions will be essential in maintaining the high quality and reliability of our Wedge products.

Day-to-Day Activities Include:
  • Technical support and SW maintenance
  • Programming new data interfaces and maintain existing ones (OPC, various databases, rest api:s, ODBC, etc.)
  • Installing and configuring the system in the customer's production environment
  • We mainly use Java programming language and SQL server in our software. The Wedge software works mainly in the Windows environment.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
  • Knowledge of Windows server environment
  • Experience of programming
  • Knowledge of AWS and Azure environment are advantages
  • Knowledge of databases, like SQL server, MySQL, Oracle, etc. are advantages
  • Fluent English skills (both written and spoken), other languages are advantages
  • The most important thing is that you know how to program, and you can adapt to the evolving environment
