Transunion is seeking a Technical Lead Engineer to join TruContact Enterprise Product Engineering - CallerID/Trusted Call Solutions team who will be responsible for Architecting, Designing , developing and delivering mission critical Products and Components services to global carriers and enterprises. The Ideal Tech Lead Engineer would be working in a fast-paced environment with an entrepreneurial mindset of solving real world problems by designing, developing and maintaining features, solutions and scalable production grade micro-services in collaboration with other product and engineering teams. The engineer will also work very closely with product owners, clients and partners to understand various use cases and real-world problems to solve them through software engineering best practices . The Technical Lead engineer will own the quality of the deliverables meeting high SLAs in Cloud native as well as on-prem environments . This candidate will play a key role in Mentoring the team & technical evolution of the stack as well as security compliance of applications.

What You'll Bring:

The Technical Lead Engineer will be responsible for Full Stack - architecture, design, development as well as sustenance of multiple products and components within the TruContact Enterprise Product Engineering group - part of the Trusted Call Solutions/CallerID/SMS group leading and representing the products & applications , Collaborating with Product Owners/Business Development groups, SDET & Operations teams & Solution architects , Interact with Customers to help develop applications and infrastructure for Cloud native and On-Prem applications. Candidate must have experience designing and developing enterprise class, web based, reporting and provisioning systems in Java/J2EE/Cloud Native microservices/Migrations to cloud .

Responsible for requirements definition/interpretation, detailed design specifications as well as coding, unit testing, implementation, and maintenance of software modules for both new and existing systems. The candidate for this lead position will Lead, design, develop and test software web applications - Provisioning systems , which includes development for Carrier , API integration, Data Onboarding, Reporting platform, Robocall detection and prevention, Call Analytics as well as ETL processing to feed downstream systems that process real-time Calling Name queries from customers and endpoints.

Responsibilities /Key Tasks
  • Collaborate with product team on Detailed functional requirements , infer non-functional requirements.
  • Architect, Design, Develop, Test and Document software components that meet organization sta ndards
  • Code high quality software components in accordance with organizational standards, technical requirements, and detailed designs in compliance with security standards and leveraging platform shared components
  • Technically Lead an Agile scrum team and be part of scaled agile team representing the product s and components
  • Effectively participate in a team oriented environment that involves continuous design reviews, code reviews, and collaboration.
  • Proactively communicate with Development Management and/or regarding the status and potential impacts on the delivery date and/or expected quality of tasks and projects.
  • Actively work with Project Management and QA teams and produce technical documentation required by QA.
  • Follow established development processes for assigned projects. This position will be responsible for planning, deploying, supporting, maintaining and troubleshooting applications, services and solutions in support of Neustar's Data Solutions.
Qualifications /Educational Requirements
  • 8 - 12 years of fullstack experience developing Scalable, Reliable, Secure software systems & web applications based on Java/J2EE.
  • Expertise in JAVA (8 or above)/J2EE and OO Methodology , Cloud Native microservice , REST, JSON
  • Working experience in Angular/React/ Javascript,
  • Experience building applications with Spring/Spring Boot following SDLC best practices .
  • Experience with Hibernate and/or other ORM framework experience
  • Experience with Maven, Ant, Git and/or similar build tools.
  • Experience working in an Agile development process/environment.
  • Experience with Web Services, WSDL, SSL certificate management. Experience in building secure software and awareness of best security practices like OWASP top 10 is a plus.
  • Expe rtise with Relational Databases - Oracle/MariaDB/MySQL and NoSQL databases - MongoDB ..etc and exposure to Logging/Monitoring opensource frameworks
  • Experience with building and deploying applications using virtualized solutions / in the cloud - AWS/GCP.
  • Experience with deployment and configuration management tools (Ansible , ArgoCD ) is a plus
  • Experience working on and developing software for Linux/Unix/Solaris platforms.
  • Experience with designing and developing enterprise class web-based applications with stringent availability, performance and SLA requirements.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
  • Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

  • Required &bull Bachelor's (B.S) or Master's (M.S) degree in Computer Science or related field

Ability to mentor Software Engineers, General curiosity, a willingness to experiment, pragmatism and the ability to handle ambiguity Strong work ethic with the ability to adapt to the situation .
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional organizations including system architects, project managers, product managers and operations. Open to learn and explore new toolsets , PoC and technology and innovative solutions Identifying production and non-production application issues , root cause , mitigation & support with teams Develop technical architecture , designs , lead implementations , best practices based on requirements from Business, Internal & external customer teams.
  • Solid understanding of RESTful systems and principles of good API design. Should have proven experience in building and deploying production grade, highly scalable solutions based on cloud-native micro-services architecture. Collaborate across different teams from Architecture, Design, Development, Testing and Deployment Prior Experience in architecting, designing and development High scale transactional and Analytical Applications , Products , Data Pipelines and Platforms.
This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
