What You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, or related field such as business, finance, economics, or equivalent; Master's Degree is preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in Financial Services, Consulting, or Analytics & Data Sciences, with a strong preference for experience in Insurance or Fintech industries.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct market research, develop a business case, and execute on a strategy.
  • Strategic thinker and unconventional problem-solving capabilities with a proficiency in data storytelling to help stakeholders understand behavioral trends based on consumer credit data; ability to generate insights to enable businesses to make informed, strategic decisions.
  • Advanced analytical skills and technical ability, including proficiency Excel; experience with end-to-end model development process (scope, develop, test, and document methodologies, procedures and related processes).
  • Excellent communication skills (oral & written) with ability to communicate complex concepts and solutions successfully to all levels of management and technical expertise.
  • Must have proven ability to interact and mediate with all levels of organization, from most junior to most senior, and from all aspects of business including Product, Risk, Operations.
  • Familiarity with credit risk measures (e.g. probability of default, exposure at default, loss given default) and credit risk and/or P&L modeling, an asset.
Impact You'll Make:

The individual in this position will serve as a subject-matter expert, proactively working with our key clients and supporting our Sales team to drive business opportunities for products and analytics services. This individual will have the ability to leverage their previous experience along with TransUnion's best practices to help solve our customers' problems, delivering fulsome recommendations and compelling presentations. Additionally, they will provide senior leadership with valuable industry/market and customer driven insight to inform long-term growth strategy.

Achieving the desired outcomes will require creating and delivering pitch decks, case studies, detailed reviews of clients' portfolios, research, and producing cost-benefit analyses. The incumbent will find value-add opportunities for clients to help maintain and nurture a strong revenue base, mutually satisfying business relationships, in part by the following:
  • Leading in proposal development by transforming client or prospective client requirements into consultative solutions that demonstrate value added services.
  • Showcasing expertise of TransUnion's individual products and how they tie to clients' needs for business growth, risk selection, identity management, and marketing
  • Engaging resources across other TransUnion business units and functional areas in support of new product assessment and development efforts for specific vertical lines of business and/or industry segments - some of the functional areas may include legal, compliance, finance, Data Science, and IT.
  • Understanding industry trends and the client at the level needed to proactively identify areas of business opportunities and analytical needs of customers, while demonstrating this competence in client presentations.
  • Making formal presentations at executive meetings, conventions, and other speaking engagements in a particular area of business or product expertise.
Travel (primarily within GTA) is a requirement for client meetings; team operates in a flexible work environment (remote as well as in-person).

This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
