The SVP Product Management, Global Credit Data Products is responsible for driving the growth of TransUnion's Credit Risk Solutions (CRS) business by driving product innovation, with a deep focus on creating and executing a global Alternative Data strategy.

Reporting to the EVP of Credit Risk Solutions this role will be global in scope. They will own the global strategy and implementation for TransUnion's core credit products (e.g., scores and attributes), and be responsible for prioritizing requirements across regions. They will also be directly responsible for the TransUnion's Alternative Data Strategy and managing existing alternative data solutions such as the Income and Affordability Solutions suite. They will work closely with the Data Asset Management leadership, Global Technology leadership, and our Regional and Vertical Strategy teams to define and execute on an overarching strategy, including evaluating and executing on partnership and M&A opportunities. They will partner with other teams within CRS and other Solutions lines to incorporate alternative data into TransUnion's overarching product suite, and partner with our Sales and Marketing teams in driving the growth of the business.
What You'll Bring:
- 20+ years of progressively more responsible experience in product innovation and a proven senior product leadership experience in the areas of credit risk and alternative credit data solutions
- Proven ability to build a world-class product organization

- Experience working with different types of alternative data within lending - examples include income data, affordability data, Buy-now-pay-later (BNPL) data
- Experience assessing the marketplace to evaluate partnership and M&A opportunities, and managing key partner relationships
- Experience developing and delivering product roadmaps for data and/or technical solutions in a B2B environment and a strong track record of managing product strategists and leaders
- Compelling and effective communication, cross-functionally and at all levels, internal and external and clear and constant communicator and a great listener
- Exudes accountability and ownership and is passionate about the problem the products solve
- Process-driven and highly structured thinker with solid organizational, project management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a high degree of comfort managing multiple assignments
- Driven by intellectual curiosity and independent thinking with a positive "can-do" attitude who is also agile and an emotionally intelligent individual who works exceptionally well within fast-paced and matrixed environments
- Deeply understands e-commerce and can analytically breakdown and solve complex problems
- Able to deeply understand customers and transfer customer knowledge into improved experiences
- 20+ year experienced practitioner in a credit risk assessment or related role with a track record of delivering value; preferably including in non-U.S. markets
- Significant experience leveraging different types of data to assess credit risk
- Experience driving product innovation in diverse industries; including Financial Services, Lending, Fintech
- Strong background in risk management
- Executive Management and leadership experience in successfully building and growing global teams
- Track record of building and executing ground up strategies to deliver on major organizational initiatives
- Bachelor's degree in technical or business discipline; MBA or other Master's degree highly desired
- The SVP Product Management, Global Credit Data Products is a fully qualified professional, preferably with deep domain expertise in using different types of data to help customers assess credit risk. The role is responsible for overall product directions, strategy and planning of a horizontal product capability that serves all industry verticals and international regions for TransUnion.
- Own the global data, attributes and scores strategy including defining and prioritizing requirements across different regions.
- Maintain the global attributes and algorithms library and drive global adoption
- Track the product lifecycle and manage retirement and migration with the regions
- Drive scores and attributes innovation based on global and local research, e.g., BNPL
- Define and support the regions with product design for traditional core credit products
- Develop, own and work with new markets to deploy our standard "bureau in a box" solution to support International market expansion
- Own and manage common credit innovation e.g. Speed of data
- Build and steward the implementation of the alternative data strategy, gather voice of the customer, vertical & regional leaders and the relevant markets, define the data and product roadmap, provide thought leadership and lead the overall CRS Alternative Data product management function, globally.
- Assess the marketplace to identify and evaluate alternative data acquisition opportunities. You will build business cases to determine partnership and acquisition opportunities where relevant. Once acquired you will lead efforts to integrate new data types into Transunion's product suite.
- Owns product vision, business prioritization and roadmap of alternative data solutions; develops business cases and advocates for investment as needed, which includes partnering with Market (revenue) and IT (investment) teams
- Spends time with clients capturing VOC and applying design thinking principles to understand their problems and needs; works with data asset management teams to build out the roadmap for acquiring new data types
- Ensures the successful roll-out of new alternative data products to Market & Sales teams, supports the development and delivery of comprehensive product training
- Monitors and analyzes product financials, KPIs, customer feedback, and the competitive landscape to identify gaps, weaknesses and opportunities in any part of the alternative data solutions suite
- Develop, communicate, and execute the three-year product roadmap plan for global core and alternative data and product innovation
- Gather market intelligence on macro-economic and industry trends, consumer behaviors, regulatory changes and hurdles, disruptive innovations, and competitive offerings to validate and refine our product roadmap.
- Represent TransUnion as a thought leader and industry expert at industry conferences, in media, etc.
- Develop product concepts that leverage internal and external customer feedback and market insights
- Global products definition with consideration of how to localize into regional markets
- Identify partnership needs and vendors to deliver on alternative data needs
- Global responsibility for annual product categories roadmap
- Prioritize data investments and product development roadmap after considering the input and opportunities presented by the various TransUnion vertical leaders and sales teams
- Drive localization needs based on Global product plan and own any local products alignment
- Leads teams of global product managers (SMEs) and strategists

Pay Scale Information :
The salary range for this position is $237,360.00 - $416,000.00. *The salary range for this position reflects the general range of compensation for this job and does not include our bonus incentive(s). This position is eligible for bonus incentive(s). At TransUnion, actual compensation is based on careful consideration of additional factors such as (but not limited to) an individual's education, training, work experience, job-related skill set, industry knowledge, as well as the scope and responsibilities of the position, and market considerations.
