What You'll Bring:

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) degree required, an active bar license in good standing
  • 3+ years of experience in a financial or regulatory environment focused on covering regulatory compliance, marketing/advertising and consumer protection
  • Knowledge of and experience applying regulations and industry guidelines to support business on Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), UDAAP, and other state and federal consumer protection laws and regulations affecting the business(including FTC, CAN-SPAM, etc.)
  • Ability to advise product team on features and product development
  • Experience reviewing advertising and marketing collateral and advising the business regarding claim substantiation, consumer disclosures and related issues
  • A team player ready to work closely in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with other attorneys, compliance professionals, business clients and senior leaders..
  • Ability to read, interpret and advise business partners on complex matters, including laws, contracts, business documents, system documents, company policies, and procedures.

Impact You'll Make:

We are looking for a Senior Counsel to support our TransUnion Interactive business. The candidate will be a valued team member that provides legal guidance on areas such as compliance with federal and state consumer protection laws, compliance on marketing initiatives within a regulated industry, advises and provides counsel to stakeholders on legal matters, marketing communications, new product design and development, issue management and remediation and other matters as needed. Make an impact in this rapidly evolving company by using your legal experience and skills to drive execution on legal and regulatory matters.
  • Make impactful legal decisions and business recommendations for an innovative, dynamic, public company that is a leader in the global marketplace.
  • Ability to build and foster relationships, and become a trusted business partner, with senior leaders of the organization through excellent interpersonal and oral/written communication skills and recognized expertise.
  • Advise internal clients on legal and business issues and the implications of alternative positions to enable informed business decisions.
  • Participate in internal regulatory reviews of products and solutions.
  • Conduct legal research and provides advice to stakeholders regarding changes in the law, contracts, or other legal issues that may involve the company's short or long-term strategic operations.

  • Assist other attorneys on various matters including those which present potential for litigation.
  • Provide formal and informal training for internal clients.
This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
