Virtualization Lead Engineer - Workspace
Dynamics of the Role
As a member of the End User Compute Workspace domain, the Lead Engineer will participate in design, installation, configuration and maintaining companies Virtual Desktop platform across a Global Environment. This role will bring a high level of expertise across multiple different Virtual platforms that include VMWare Horizon, W365, and Azure Virtual Desktop.
What You'll Bring:
The Team's Focus - o The team is responsible for the build, configuration and implementation of the End User Compute and Virtualized Desktop Environment. These environments include Windows, MAC and Virtual Desktop Environment. o The End User Complete Engineering team works closely with the Architecture team that works on the design side and the Operations team who supports the environment from the issues and problem management side. o This role requires a deep understanding of Virtualization technologies, cloud computing and desktop operating systems and management. How You Will Contribute &bull Build, maintain, and support virtual desktop delivery platforms based on technical requirements provided by application, systems, and business stakeholders &bull Work closely with Architecture and Operations teams within the IT services domain for all End User Compute services &bull Collaborates with developers and other stakeholders to ensure software is performing correctly and efficiently utilizing best practices &bull Ensure the highest levels of up-time and build and configure virtual environments ensuring that all aspects of the virtual desktop infrastructure are at production levels

Impact You'll Make:
What You Will Bring &bull 7+ years' experience Desktop Virtualizations Platforms that include VMware Horizon, W365 and Azure Virtual Desktop. &bull System Center Configuration Management (SCCM) design/architecture and operations/administration &bull Strong Knowledge of cloud computing Platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). &bull Knowledge of several of the following areas: o System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) Current Branch o Microsoft Intune or Auto Pilot o Windows 10/11 Operating Systems, including the ability to drive detailed technical workshops around migration, features, servicing, and security o Migration Tool (USMT) and other deployment tools o Group Policy Object analysis, design, implementation, and testing o Experience with scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python) o Deployment methodologies and User State Migration processes &bull Windows server platforms, network diagnostic tools, Active Directory, DHCP and VPN troubleshooting. &bull Highly developed analytical skills and the ability to solve complex technical problems using a methodical systemic approach. &bull Experience troubleshooting workstations, imaging devices, and telecom. &bull Knowledge of operations management, systems security, and security standards, testing processes and protocols, relational databases, network devices and other core infrastructure concepts What We Offer We aim high - and are reaching for new heights every day.
