We are seeking a growth mindset Senior Product Manager to join a dynamic and fast paced team. This position is responsible for growing TransUnion's Credit Risk Solutions portfolio in the Philippines; builds and executes product strategy for analytics and risk management solutions to support Philippines strategic growth plans. Reporting to the Solutions Group Head in the Philippines, the Senior Product Manager will be responsible for product management related tasks and for the oversight of the product development activities to ensure timely launch to the market.

  • The successful candidate must have at least fifteen (15) years of progressive career on credit risk, credit underwriting and data analytics from banking and financial services industry and with at least seven (7) yrs of related experience in product management. A bachelor degree is required.
  • Proficiency: possesses deep expertise on risk management and credit data analytics. Key understanding of Philippines credit ecosystem and a passion for utilizing data to solve critical business issues are a must.
  • General Management: while revenue is important for a product manager, it is also important that he/she has strong foundation in managing cost to deliver the target margin of the product.
  • Partner Management: has proven track record of at least (3) years in managing and optimizing relationships with partners
  • Flexibility/adaptability: Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment; Can adjust quickly to changing priorities and conditions.

What We'd Love to See:
  • Preferably with a Credit Bureau Background and with a good understanding of digital technologies in consumer banking in the areas of Digital Products & Platforms, Customer Experience Design along with Tech/Data consulting.
  • Experience working in agile software development methodology.
  • Experience with Automated decision and Credit Lending Decision process/flow (Acquisition / Portfolio Management and Collection process).
Impact You'll Make:
  • Responsible for building credit risk solutions based on consumer credit to help customers (Banks, Auto/Mortgage/Credit lenders, Insurance Companies, Government, and Retailers) make better informed business decisions - such as credit, collections and marketing - using TransUnion data.
  • Product Management works across internal and external stakeholders to drive thought leadership and innovation in the marketplace for new solutions and maintaining existing solutions. This role is focused on delivering on TransUnion Philippine's ambition product plans on Credit Risk Solution for 2025 and beyond to deliver on new product innovation, support a large migration to cloud and updated infrastructure, while enabling day-to-day revenue opportunities with the Sales team.
  • Develop long-term plan that exceeds current revenue projections. Work with CoE to evolve and adapt overall product line strategy rooted in market trends and customer needs; capture and feed product ideas to CoE and work together to develop business case to support growth aspirations. Set aspirational revenue goals and work with sales/IT to develop plans to achieve that goal.
  • Increase mindshare and overall perception of TransUnion with clients as a consultative risk solutions provider. Serve as an active member and SME on sales calls and customer engagements. Pursue establishment of advisory boards (or similar) to get closer to customers and further engage them in ideation and product development/validation. Spearhead and participate in industry events such as webinars as a resource speaker and panelist, publish articles/thought leadership, etc.
  • Deliver monthly forecasting reports that are 98% accurate and provide clarity and transparency across product, sales and IT to monitor product adoption and Go-to-market (GTM) execution.
  • Work closely with commercial success, sales, solution consulting, marketing, operations and delivery teams to execute on GTM strategy and ensure successful product adoption of Credit Risk solution. Serve as local ambassador for CoE in market; act as a critical "bridge" between regional teams and CoE.
  • Accountable for driving the end-to-end Product Development Process which includes but not limited to collecting market intelligence, concept review, business case development, GTM strategy and planning, pricing, product development, sales enablement training, product launch activities and ongoing product evaluation and financial performance tracking. The job entails heavy documentation across the product life-cycle.
  • Responsible for facilitating and maintaining relationships for both new and current vendors/partners on a regular basis. This includes evaluating potential vendors/partners to find the best available vendors/partners for his product components, negotiating and reviewing contracts, defining the engagement model across customer, TU and vendor/partner, onboarding and continuously monitoring vendor/partner risk even after the vendor/partner contract is executed (e.g. monitoring performance levels and periodically requesting and analyzing current due diligence as may be required)
  • As a Product Manager, he is responsible in defining the relevant product roadmap and working with Product Owner and the scrum team to ensure timely launch of the product.
  • Serves as a Program Champion of any initiatives from Credit Risk Solution CoE to facilitate effective roll-out of strategy and that desired objectives are met.
  • Support the data expansion strategy in terms of determining potential products that can be developed out of the new data source, while leading the evaluation of new set of data source/s together with Data Science and Analytics to differentiate current and future solution.
  • Work with GT and Operations in determining the CAPEX and OPEX investment to develop and launch a new product.
In the first 90 days, become immersed in our product development process, agile environment and weekly and monthly reporting process, learn all about our company, our products and how they further the goals of Transunion in the region. You should have a deep dive understanding about your current product scope and strategy, the ongoing program initiatives and current plans. You will also be introduced to existing partners and stakeholders, and start to facilitate regular meetings/cadences.

Beyond 90 days, establish a collaborative relationship within Product Organization, Data Expansion, Governance and Management team, CoE, Business Heads, Sales team and IT delivery teams. Can execute on business and/or product strategy and all ongoing program initiatives. Possesses the working knowledge to drive and lead discussions to support the growth strategy. Actively participates during growth strategy discussion/brainstorming, be it internal and external, and able to drive the PDP as maybe required. It is expected that you will carry out the roles moving forward with direction but minimal supervision from your superior.

After 6 months, it is expected that you will carry out the roles autonomously, achieves job objectives and able to solve problems of complex issues independently.

This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
