Description:

We are currently seeking applicants for a sales position within our Singapore office. This person will focus on Institutional clients in Singapore. The job will be to maintain and grow existing customer relationships and to identify and onboard new relationships in the region. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in covering institutional clients and a good knowledge of fixed income products including as Government Bonds , Credit and both rates and credit derivatives. They will have excellent interpersonal skills, a flexible style suited to building relationships with a range of clients.

To be successful, the individual will also need to demonstrate an ability to work closely with various internal teams - locally, regionally in the broader APAC, as well as in the London and the US offices. Importantly, they should be an effective communicator, able to leverage and share information to maximize growth and opportunity within the Asia region. An interest in electronic trading and an understanding of the e-trading market structure would be an advantage.

Job responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate product and sales ownership, proactively driving growth forward to maximise opportunity.
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with a combination of existing and prospective clients.
  • Communicate effectively with internal groups to drive consensus on business direction; seek input and share knowledge to ensure a cohesive sales strategy.
  • Understand market and regulatory developments and their impact on the business; incorporate this breadth of knowledge into business development strategy.
  • Prepare and provide regular management information; update relevant teams and senior management regularly to ensure effective and real-time global communication.

Required Experience and qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of client-facing experience in the financial services industry
  • Good knowledge of and exposure to fixed income products
  • Dedicated team-player
  • Exemplary work ethic, eager to learn, results focused
  • Strong communication skills and ability to perform under stress and tight deadline
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business/Finance/Economics/Marketing/ Communications or equivalent
  • Right to work in Singapore
