We are currently seeking applicants for a generalist sales position at our Tokyo office. This person will focus on growth of existing customer relationships and new customer acquisition. The right individual will have good knowledge and exposure to a range of products such as cash and derivative rates, credit, and equities.

They will have excellent interpersonal skills, a flexible style suited to building relationships with a range of clients. To be successful, you will also need to demonstrate an ability to work closely with various internal teams both locally but also in APAC, London, and the US offices. Importantly, you should be an effective communicator, able to leverage and share information to maximize growth and opportunity in Japan. This is a great opportunity for a candidate looking for a career in FinTech.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Japan sales team to develop and execute the sales strategy, also partnering closely with Client Services and Product Management teams globally;
  • Contribute to the development of the sales pipeline, developing a thorough understanding the key drivers and priorities as well as sharing information and ensuring a close alignment to team goals;
  • Build and develop key relationships both internally and with the local buy/sell-side customer base, establishing yourself as a 'go to' person for Japan customer enquiries and information; educate others and provide presentations / demonstrations as necessary;
  • Help cement Tradeweb's position as a market leader within the Dealer to Client Fixed Income, Derivatives, Credit, Equity e-trading market in Japan. Keeping up to date with market developments and competitor intelligence to maintain competitive

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business/Finance/Economics/Marketing or equivalent
  • At least of 3 years of experience in the finance industry (Securities Brokers, Banks, Asset Managers, or Financial Technology Vendors)
  • Native level Japanese, business level English
  • Class-1 JSDA Sales Representative Qualification
  • Good knowledge of and exposure to either Rates, Credit, or Equity products
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient with full MS Office suite
  • Team player & strong independent worker with ability to take ownership & responsibility.
