Who we're looking for
Toyota's Information Technology organization is seeking a passionate and highly motivated SAP Business Warehouse (BW) Technology Product Owner within the Business Technology Platform (BTP) department.

The main responsibility of this role is to serve as the Technical Product Owner for SAP BW/4HANA. This involves providing production support and technical support for SAP BPC and SAC. Additionally, the role includes leading and managing initiatives, implementing continuous improvement (kaizen), formalizing KPIs, and overseeing both upgrade and enhancement activities. Effective communication with cross-functional peers, managers, Center of Excellence leads, and business partners is also essential.
Reporting to the IT Finance Application Manager, the person in this role will support the BTP department's objective to provide a modern, highly available, stable and flexible SAP Platform with industry-leading practices supporting Toyota's future of mobility.
What you'll be doing
- Support the design, implementation and maintenance of the SAP BW/4HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and SAP BPC solutions, including technical and functional aspects
- Administering, monitoring, troubleshooting, analyzing, and resolving functional and technical problems around BW/4HANA, SAC and BPC, serving as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) to other teams and projects
- Ensure continuous improvement of existing tasks and processes and manage ongoing knowledge transfer sessions from Solution Implementers to internal team members and/or between team members to retain and share knowledge.
- Provide comprehensive short-term and long-term direction on strategic essentials and recommend innovations in anticipation of the future direction of the business and IT stakeholders.
- Offer strategic guidance and oversee the installation of BW/4HANA functional and technical support packs/enhancement packs, ensuring that the solution aligns with SAP best practices.
- Coach other team members on developing stronger technical skills across multiple areas with the primary focus being BW/4HANA.
- Translate business needs into architectural requirements, while collaborating closely with key stakeholders to understand the current state, identify and prioritize improvement opportunities to boost quality and productivity.
- Lead in all phases of the BW/4HANA life cycle including POC, discovery, mapping, design, configuration, testing, go-live, and support.
- Support business during critical month end close activities including the financial consolidation process and Financial Reporting; Assist in training and system preparation for annual budget and quarterly forecasts.
- Provide detailed guidance and definition on how BW 4/HANA and SAP BPC will support business requirements and create and maintain functional/business and technical specifications.
What you bring
- Proven experience effectively utilizing verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and engage with both business and technical stakeholders during the implementation of BW/4HANA, BPC, SAC and other complex projects.
- Practical, hands-on experience configuring SAP BW/4HANA for large-scale projects
- BW4HANA experience supporting and implementing SAP BPC, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), and S/4HANA Group Reporting
- Business and functional requirements analysis experience
- Experience with troubleshooting and debugging complex integrated applications
- SAP Full Life Cycle Implementation experience serving in a hands-on and lead capacity including support and debugging.
- Experience with OSS notes, Support Packs, Enhancement Packs, and Version upgrades
What you may bring
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science and/or Business Administration or Equivalent work experience
- Experience with SAP Datasphere
- SAP functional and/or technical lead roles
- Ability to work with large, distributed teams onshore and offshore with diverse competencies, skills, and abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced/high-pressure culture
- Experience in Scrum and Agile methodologies
- Strong business process knowledge
- Self-motivated individuals preferred
- SAP BW/4HANA Certification
