We're actively looking for a driven Systems Engineer II to perform EV function activities such as creating service/function/evaluation specifications, system architecture, issue triage, technical discussion with stakeholders, testing, and technical support for cross generational multimedia use.

This position requires EV function knowledge and a strong engineering mindset to provide end-to-end technical support. You will also support the end-to-end customer experience from vision, development, launch, profitability, competitiveness to quality assurance and release. This includes tracking progress, resolving dependencies, evaluating risks, and communicating updates to upper management & project stakeholders. You will need to use your strong leadership skills to keep project teams engaged and energized to achieve aggressive goals!

What you'll be doing

  • Define system architecture and write service/technical specifications. Test EV functionality and fashion test reports accordingly.
  • Identify and analyze the interfaces and interactions across system boundaries by specifying the requirements and limits to ensure that the product meets requirements.
  • Complete project objectives in time to meet vehicle and other milestones in alignment with product launch or other relevant cycles.
  • Understand technical implementation at the architectural level and propose technical alternatives when necessary; ask questions that clarify priorities and push the team to be effective.
  • Own effective technical relationships with vendors to help them move at the speed of our internal teams and understand dependencies & partner roadmaps.
  • Remove obstacles to drive momentum and progress, identify gaps in communication or schedule, manage issue escalations and provide support to teams balancing competing priorities, and drive results proactively.
  • Responsible for professional level presentations as well as document and record meeting minutes.
  • Develop material and help lead technical EV product discussions with internal & external teams.
  • Collaborate with other teams in CT and external teams (e.g., TMC, TC, factory, etc.) for technical points discussions. Participate in cross-functional team meetings to launch EV products.

What you bring

  • Proven experience in engineering project management and development. Automotive experience and telematics background preferred.
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
  • Product Owner related experience and agile mindset.
  • Possess Technical and Product Management skills to communicate and drive different teams & suppliers.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment with quick decision-making skills.

Added bonus if you have

  • Experience in automotive cockpit-related hardware/software stacks.
  • Experience in Infotainment Hardware, Embedded SW and Off-board Software Development, and automotive architecture.
  • Excellent PowerPoint and strong presentation skills.
  • CSPO certification or related; and higher-level degrees preferred.
