Toyota's North American Parts Center in Hebron, KY is looking for two highly motivated and experienced Skilled Maintenance Technicians to join our NAPCK 2nd Shift Team.

What we offer

  • Starting Hourly Rate: $36.81
  • $1.50 hourly shift premium for 2nd Shift
  • Semi-Annual Bonus opportunity (Performance Based)

The open positions for this job requisition are for second shift. Second shift hours are Monday through Friday from 4:45 pm to 1:15 am. Frequent post-shift overtime will also be required. Efforts will be made to schedule overtime with as much notice as possible; due to business needs overtime may be required with little to no notice.

*NAPCK is a multiple shift operation that runs seven days per week. All maintenance technicians must be prepared to cover assignments on any shift as assigned. This position will be assigned to a specific shift but may be assigned to an opposing shift in the future.

What you'll be doing

Reporting to the Maintenance Operations Leader, Skilled Maintenance Technicians support NAPCK's maintenance department objective: To maintain, in proper working order, warehouse equipment, preventing down time caused by routine maintenance, and implement kaizen and safety countermeasures to warehouse fixed and moving equipment both powered and manually operated.

Skilled Maintenance Technicians support the production, quality, cost and safety goals of the warehouse operation and plant facilities. All skilled personnel are responsible for preventive maintenance, process and equipment improvements and effective troubleshooting. These responsibilities include:

  • Perform routine maintenance, including but not limited to, troubleshooting and performing preventative maintenance on material handling equipment
  • Test and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment systems
  • Documentation of work performed by written/electronic methods.
  • Problem-solve and continuously improve safety, quality, and productivity

What you bring

  • Technical knowledge and skills working with material handling equipment in the following areas: Powered and Non-Powered Conveyor Systems (and related equipment including but not limited to: belts, motors, photo-eyes, and relays), Material and Freight Handling Systems, Vertical Lifts, and Lift Tables.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge and skills with a focus on electrical circuits/systems.
  • Demonstrated success in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Power Point, Word, Outlook)
  • Available to work any shift, as needed, including frequent post-shift overtime and weekends. (Shift example: 1st Shift Monday-Friday/Weekend Shift Friday-Sunday)

Added bonus if you have

  • Electrical degree, diploma, or certification of completion for studies of electricity
  • Documentation of any state Journeyman's Electrical License current or expired
  • Completed mechanical or electrical apprenticeship
  • Technical knowledge and skills with the following:
    • Automated conveyor systems and controls
    • Diagnose and repair material handling equipment
    • Conduct predictive and preventative maintenance procedures
    • Metal and wood fabrication
    • Read blueprints and electrical schematics
    • Electrical and electronic principles
    • Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safety standards in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and safety standards
    • Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
    • Robotic Operation and Maintenance
    • Troubleshoot basic input and output functions
    • Hydraulics and Pneumatics
    • Drafting (AutoCAD)
