Toyota's Digital Customer Experience Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Senior Principal Engineer I - Consumer Platform & Engineering.

The primary responsibility of this role is to design and manage software development in the consumer platform & software engineering areas.

Reporting to the Senior Manager II, Platform & Engineering, the person in this role will support the Digital Customer Experience department's objective to create the software products for dealerships and consumers.

What you'll be doing

  • Responsible for technical design, delivering and innovating within the DCX Consumer Platform & Engineering group in support of the TMNA's current and future business strategies.
  • Oversee a group of software architects and/or senior developers to provide guidance on technologies and resources for the consumer product teams
  • Prioritize, delegate, and supervise all engineering activities and deliverables for both software development & production support
  • Responsible for conducting Technical Architecture and Innovation Planning for Digital Customer Experience portfolio (Roadmaps)
  • Develops System Improvement Plans and Sustainability Frameworks for varies platform in the Customer portfolio.
  • Technical Consultant for Product Management team in the Customer portfolio (oversees end to end Solution Delivery).
  • Collaborate with the Dealer Platform & Engineering group to maximize and reuse of components & patterns across products and brands
  • Be the subject matter expert in development pattern and platform within the Customer portfolio
  • Monitors team/individual's morale and engagement to maintain highly effective and collaborative environments; drives the talent strategy and best practices across the team

What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in a related discipline and/or commensurate professional work experience.
  • Expert functional work experience in the related area/s (e.g., Architecture, Software Engineering, Software Development, etc.).
  • Demonstrated experience in AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). AWS experience preferred.
  • Strong Adobe AEM and Commerce architecture experience preferred.
  • Excellent relationship building skills with business executives, management, integration partners, and digital agency teams.
  • Expert technical management experience.
  • Strong professional experience to present functional and technical roadmaps.
  • Communicate effectively ideas and proposals to all levels of management & technical stakeholders.

Added bonus if you have

  • Prior experience working for a software product company, OEM, DMS, CRM or DSP application provider
  • High-level communication skills to influence and persuade others.
  • Related technical certification
  • Agile/Scrum experience
