Toyota's Electronics Systems Advanced Development and Planning Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Senior UX Researcher. Working with design and engineers, you will demonstrate your passion for User Experience and by translating research that you lead into actionable insights to help Toyota achieve its mobility targets, create ever better vehicles for our customers and help develop future product road maps.
What you'll be doing
- Planning and executing UX programs to generate insights related to cockpit and cabin electronics and interior systems.
- Conduct and lead research into NA customer needs and market trends, including competitor benchmarking, attending industry events/conferences and collaborating with customer research groups.
- Conduct and lead qualitative and quantitative studies, analyze data, and generate, and report findings.
- Establish UX research standards that clarify the purpose, requirements, and targets.
- Communicate and negotiate with TMNA stakeholders in R&D, Sales, and Quality and work to drive alignment on UX requirements and customer needs.
- Support the development of business cases for change and product development through the provision of timely research.
- Managing project schedules, key milestones, and reporting status and risks to executive management on a regular basis.
- Communication and negotiation - able to work with others within the organization to share and communicate ideas with other Toyota stakeholders (including TMC and overseas companies) to gain agreements on direction.
What You Bring
- At least 8 years of industry experience in User Experience Research, including 3 years of experience and demonstrated understanding of Toyota's vehicle development process.
- Demonstrated understanding of Toyota electronic platform development experience including front-end UI development for in-vehicle displays.
- Understanding of current Toyota UX frameworks and UX research methods.
- Presentation skill - able to create simple and concise story to communicate detailed data as simple message to TMNA executives and TMC.
