Who we're looking for

Toyota's Internal Control Department is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Senior Analyst- Internal Controls

The primary responsibility of this role is to support the business to ensure an efficient and effective internal control framework driving complete and accurate financial statements.

Reporting to the Manager Internal Controls, the person in this role will support the Internal Controls department's objective to support assigned areas of the business to ensure an effective and efficient control environment.

What you'll be doing

  • Creating and/or updating SOX documentation for assigned business areas' end to end business processes using Microsoft products (Lucid Chart; Word). Includes: Process Flows; Data Flows; Narratives.
  • Identification and evaluation of business and financial risk and the related development of compensating/mitigating controls as deemed necessary
  • Liaison between the assigned business process owners/control performers and the internal and external auditors
  • Working with assigned business team(s) to ensure controls are performed completely, accurately, and timely
  • Assisting assigned business team(s) with any identified deficiency remediation

What you bring

  • Accounting or similar business degree
  • Experience testing SOX controls OR working on a SOX team
  • Project management experience
  • Strong soft skills (interpersonal; organizational; self-motivation and drive for results)

Added bonus if you have

  • Manufacturing company SOX experience (OEM preferred)
  • SAP experience
  • Mainframe system experience
  • Experience with IT-dependent controls (system interfaces; key reports; application controls)
  • Experience managing up and across the organization
