Toyota's TMNA PE Paint Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Production Engineering Paint Engineer.

The primary responsibility of this role is to manage area project schedules for new equipment installation, new model introduction, shop capacity studies, competitiveness improvements and overall facilitation with related plant production groups.
Reporting to the Regional Manager, the person in this role will support the Paint Production Engineering Department's objective to effectively manage capital projects, new model introductions and provide necessary support to ensure competitive daily operations.
What you'll be doing
- Support area project planning, equipment procurement, implementation and follow-up
- Support new model introductions, including equipment modifications, process jigs, etc.
- Lead competitiveness improvement projects for local production shop
- Negotiate scope of work and define roles/responsibilities within the project.
- Identify necessary investment and equipment modifications for capacity increases, model mixes, etc.]
What you bring
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering Field, Engineering Technology degree or 3+ years equivalent experience.
- Automotive Production Engineering experience
- Experience working in Production Engineering or an Engineering role focusing on equipment development/procurement.
- Ability to work weekends, holiday periods, and shutdowns to support tooling modifications and installations.
- Proficient knowledge in MS Office applications (Excel for analysis and PowerPoint for reporting and presentations and MS Project for schedules) Intermediate
- Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Experience coordinating equipment installations with multiple contractors.
- Project Management experience.
Added bonus if you have
- Experience with AutoCAD and Catia
- Experience writing equipment specifications
- Experience with Ringi development and requisition preparation
- Experience with PLC's and Andon systems
- Experience in Simultaneous Engineering or vehicle design for new model launches
- Going above and beyond by understanding the business, anticipating needs, and delivering results that meet all quality expectations.
- Pro-active management and creation of tasks, definitions of done, and deliverable dates for tasks requested of you and projects you manage.
